Hi Tractorspotter another great video. I was really impressed with the grain handling facilities back at the farm, do you have more inside footage that you could share with us? Was this a family owned farm or a company owned farm?

Mark Fryer Glad your liked the video! Unfortunately I don't have any more footage from inside the storage building. This farm is more than 200 years old and is owned by the same shareholders (and there family) since then. They farm about 1800 hectare and It's one of the biggest farms in the Netherlands. Mooie video, mooie kleuren! Maar ik vraag me af of je er nooit last van hebt dat het te hard waait, en dat je dan niet fijn kan vliegen met de drone.

MoundMovies Dat gebeurt weleens inderdaad. Windkracht 4 hou ik als maximum aan om goed te kunnen filmen met de drone. Met 5bft lukt ook nog wel om te vliegen, maar dan wordt het lastig om rustig en mooi te filmen. Moet wel zeggen dan mijn nieuwe Phantom 3 veel beter vliegt met meer wind dan de P2.

Will they bale up all the wheat straw? Or do they just keep it out there to have some ground cover. I know where I live in the midwest of the US people would come before harvesting and ask if they could buy the straw. Those bales are worth a lot. But I do not know the dynamic of land and soil management that they have there.

why not just build a grain bin? It would be so much cheaper than that complicated shed storage and you could store much more.

Countryguy Grain bins are not very common site here in Holland, don't why. However most farmers overhere cart there grain to cooperative central storage places. Only large companies, like this, store there own grain.

I don't believe what I'm seeing at the storage site. You don't check the moisture after you have started to unload. You do that before.

Herb Houston We test moisture after unload too, the combine tests it on the fly and we test every few trailers tipped and log it to give us a good idea of the average moisture per field, if too high it goes to the drier or a blowing bin to dry, if not then straight into a bin and monitored untill the trucks come to take it away.
