In my native, in my dads small estate there was one 10+ kg root that had been left to grow and develop for 10+ years. One fine day out of curiosity I took it and carefully cut into many pieces and then put lots if tamarind for the itch to go away. But even after soaking for 48 hoursin tamarind water, it was extremely itchy. So I had to throw it entirely. Long taro plants have so much oxalic acid inside it that they definitely if it touches skin it causes heavy itchy rashes, at times urtecaria after eating, blindness if touched to eyes and kidney stones if large quantities of intake. 😢😢😢

@@tonytiny3831 No. Not at all. Mangalore (South Indian) people are expert in Taro recipe. Just that the plant has accumulated too much of toxin and is unsafe. 😏😏😏
