Now Ronnie lies under the wide open spaces and sky of Colorado. So far in so many ways from his native London. Thank you for the memories.

What we are hearing is Ronnie's heart put to music. Ronnie was a beautiful gift, jewel, and treasure and he has now returned to his Harvest Home, to the Eternal Kingdom and the Crown of our Creator... Go And Tell Everyone...

An acquaintance at school made a little painting on a smooth stone and gave it to me, and then died in a fluke bicycle accident. I still have that stone, and we still have Ronnie Lane's music.

That's an incredibly well crafted instrumental. I can imagine this one as soundtrack to some old sea documentary.

Some guys' works really sum up something of the heart of England. Ronnie Lane is one of them. Others include the novelist JL Carr, the painter Constable, the composer Ronald Binge and the playwright Doug Lucie.

Grant, not sure how you can "sign cheques anonymously". Anyway didn't Ronnie Wood & Jimmy Page help fund his medical care too?
