the song, together with the city folks coming together as one, the children so small and so mature for their age brought tear into my eyes. Michael Landon surely put it on paper everything his heart longed for in terms of real values and family. How much I miss Michael Landon, Lord how hard it must be for his children to be without him. The lives of people he touched.

Such a moving scene, two little girls helping their father and then the townsmen helping. Shame on O'Neill for watching and doing nothing while two little girls were doing his work.

This is SO my fiancee! I am so blessed to have my own "Charles Ingalls". My baby works for us (his family) like no one else. He has five (Yes, FIVE!) jobs and I couldn't be more proud. I have wear my "Caroline" shoes ALL the time to even be close to deserving of such a gift from God.

Landon was trying to show people how to live harmoniously in communities, by sharing with each other and supporting each other. cooperation among men. How to help people with dignity, as not to make them feel less than what they are worth. I wonder if people viewing this then ever learnt anything or even now!

Great ending. I love how everyone shamed that man. If he is capable of feeling shame. I like the old ways of all for one and one for all better than today everyone for himself. Thanks again Laura :)

There's an props error in this clip. When Charles falls from his injuries from trying to stack the grain, his hat lands at least 3 maybe 4 levels above him. Then when Luara and Mary start moving the grain sacks you see it lying practically right beside him.

I wish we lived with the same family values as they did in those days, somehow I think we've lost our way. I try to maintain those same values but it's hard when most families do not have those same values. I keep trying and as I always say to my children Keep The Faith, there is good in everyone.

It´s obvious that the lesson is not to be a jerk and take advantage of someone´s disgrace, but you can also add that in a small community, being a jerk is something that people catch up quickly, and is very likely that those few people that know eachother will not stand for your bull***t.

Iam a man of my word. Is that so? Do you know what's gonna happen tomorrow of the day after...? A contract is contract;but what about if something happens just like in this situation that Charles Ingalls has broken his ribbs? Iam a ''black male'' in spit that I ''almost'' don't see ''people of colour'' in this ''mini serie'' or movie; I just love to watch it. I can really feel the love, respect and compassion among the people in this community specially in the Ingalls' family.

The crooked dealer remeinds of a man in a similar scene in John Wayne's movie Tall in the Saddle. A card player cheats thinking he can beat John by using a card that went dead from John seeing. He forces John to leave at gunpoint when he refuses to give in. But John returns with his own pistol showing the man he's willing to play rough if that's how it's going to be even though he won the game fair and square and the man gives in, proving to be the coward he really is.

Why can't we all be like this in these days?? We are all so selfish and only out for ourselves. If only every community had this kind of spirit, there would be a lot less war and fighting. America has lost the spirit that the settlers brought with them to make the country what it is today. So sad........

not only does O'Neill not show any leniency toward Charles, I also think the deal is rather one sides. I mean, if charles didnt finish the work, O'neill will still have his roof fixed, halve his grain stacked and two oxen on top of that. Charles will have put in alot of time and effort and no plough or seed. This mortgage is a pure rip off.

It is sad America like California we lost living where we care about the people around us and their families. I wish this could be done in democratic states. The public schools are pathetic and buildings are terrible. We have the ability to end abuse, addictions, broken families, poverty and homelessness but local governments don't give a damn.

To be honest the only reason I watch this bullshit is to lust after Melissa Sue Anderson. She is lush, and she is still a beauty today. Micheal Landon had a hissy fit when they canceled the show and arranged to blow up the whole of Walnut Grove. The whole show has a curse on it. A few years later Landon died of Cancer. The only good thing about it was Mellisa Sue A.
