That was a great video, thanks! I would be interested to see canning tutorials.

There are a lot of great things out there online on some of the other like-minded you tube channels, but we might not mind putting our own special personality to it! Maybe canning something that is a bit more uncommon that we do here, like canning figs or persimmons, might interest everyone? The nice thing is, once you get the basics of canning, then really it is always the same process.

Awesome video!!! How did you can the oranges? Did you have to add acid to them or put them in water solution?

We did water bath canning for the mandarin oranges. You can just add water to your jars, or you can add a little sugar to the water for a sweeter taste later when you eat them.

Coming soon! We have gotten a lot of feed back about it, certainly seems to be a trending needed skill set....

Is freeze drying something you would want to try? We might be able to help.

Discussing freeze drying is definitely all the rage in homesteading communities, but because of the cost of the equipment it is typically not feasible for the small homesteader or hobby gardener. I have heard LOTS of great things about the quality of the product and the longevity of shelf stability. There have been homesteading communities that have all "gone in" on purchasing one and sharing it, which I think might be a great solution for many. Would love to hear more about this and learn with y'all!
