I hope you have a great harvest and can afford to get a bigger flag ? I guess a small flag still shows your pride in the USA and Montana thanks for taking the time to take us along with you .

Happy birthday, Shane. Hey, ya know. Thanks for sorta virtually flying the Canadian flag. That's great. Incredible views as always. I really hope y'all feel blessed with the area and the landscape you farm, few people get that chance. How'd y'all get along with that fire you had a week or so back?

We’ve cut in your neck of the woods. It’s been a while ago, though. However, your part of the world is magical! Fun to see Tyson and Logan!😊 We got to work with them in Hardin. It was the best time!

Absolutely breathtaking beautiful!!! Y’all need any help during harvest? I’ve got CDL’s, vast experience w anything on farm, from planting to spraying to harvest to trucking to storage. Welder and mechanic too. We farm in South Carolina, but we’ve been flooded out all year. Didn’t get but a few hundred acres planted this year. 75% went into preventative planting. The way farming has gone the past 3 years, I’m honestly worried every day how we’ll keep it going. 5th generation farmer here

Wow! I am from the wheat fields in Kansas. We cut out wheat in June and July.....first time I have seen harvesting in Montana. The beauty that out Good Lord gives you in Montana is just amazing! When do you plant your winter wheat? Fly free date in Kansas is the first full week in Oct. Do you crop rotate?
@Farmer_Matt
@Farmer_Matt Жыл бұрын
We don’t have a fly free date in Montana. Midges really don’t occur here. Grasshoppers are our biggest pest. That being said, we plant our crop anywhere from mid September to late October depending on the weather. We roughly follow a fallow-winter wheat-barley-wheat rotation here. Trying out some pulses and oilseeds here and there.

Farmers are all alike in that they dont need much, oreos and a new knife and we are as happy as if you bought us a new pickup. Its getting to share them with the kids that count

Happy delayed Birthday Shane. An amazing peace of art for sure. Cute Mascot. Now those damn paparazzis are asking questions again. Still getting a giggle when I come to think of Along the Edge And for Tyson, not bad eh. Guess you have to get use to some American censorship :D At least Riley did that part with style.

What was the moisture percentage?, Was it fit crimping or just straight to bun storage?, Not sure if you’ll know this but just on the off chance you do
@Farmer_Matt
@Farmer_Matt 3 жыл бұрын
Been too long for me to remember but most of it was below 12% aka good for binning. Some was lower in the 7-9% range and some was as high as 15% and went to the elevator since we don't have a dryer.
