I appreciate your concern, but we believe in creating an environment where our children learn to understand and manage risks. If they had fallen in, I would have pulled them out immediately. Both of my kids are strong swimmers and were wearing their life preservers. This experience helps them build confidence and awareness in challenging situations.

Sparrow is very intelligent, that ice could be from last winters fall and not the ice shelf.

your right, technically this could be part of frozen waterfall that feel into the ocean, however Considering there is a MASSIVE glacier just a few miles away that is constantly sluffing I've into the sea (and I mean constantly, like every 5 minutes chunks the size of a house fall into the ocean) it's much more likely that is from the glacier.

What a great video! We used to get ice from the bergs in Seward! Any ideas what I can do with my Granddaughter (7) in Homer this July while my oldest daughter is out Halibut fishing? That is a 100 gallon fuel bladder. On long trips I bring extra fuel then transfer it to the main tank and roll up and stow the bladder
