Oh girl get some Monterey BT . It breaks down fast and non toxic to hoomans and pets. Its OMRI certified. It controls caterpillars and leaf eaters. DE is great in the desert, but high humidity and rain not so much . Dr zymes is another leaf feeder killer. Also Korean natural farming may offer something like labs or on1.

I grow up in the very middle of Germany close to Netherland and we very often eat kale in Winter. In Germany we usually cook kale with onions and chunks of bacon some butter and a special kind of sausage, it's called Mettwurst, and potatoes goes with it in one pot. We cook it for at least an hour and left it in the pot for the very next day. Because, it tastes much better when it's has time to rest overnight. I still love kale up to now

Eve, I formally had chickens and geese for 20 plus years and there were many joys and tasks The most arduous was cleaning the coop. your video brought back many memories. I cleaned spring and fall. The funniest thing was opening the coop, cleaned with fresh shavings...the chickens would freak out! they would scream and fly around and act like the shavings were liquid magma. Next day they would be clucking and scratching around. Thanks for the memories. I used to compost the chicken droppings a year to let the ammonia leach then put in between the garden rows with great results.

I switched to baking my eggs. It makes the shells come off easily and it is easier. I bake them longer than most recipes, but I like them hard, hardboiled... I like over easy eggs too, but I like eat eggs over some time and I have never gotten sick off of eating them a month later. I don't have chickens and I live alone so I eat them sporadically.

Unpleasant but necessary tasks are at least ones that make more sense and therefor somehow less burdensome. May not seem so at the time but seeing the results when the benefits are visible do make a difference. Well done. Now go take a much needed relaxing shower or bath which ever you prefer. You've earned it for sure.
