Brandon Hall you’re welcome. I’m glad it helped someone. I love sharing what I know wether people care to learn or not haha. Currently trying to figure out how to upload some live Facebook videos I made to help people with flint knapping. Hopefully I can figure that one out soon or I’ll have to re-due them all. 😂

Where do you live? I am planning on planting a few hundred of these guys and wanna know when they’ll be a usable size. What kind of diameter would a 10y/o tree be?

Matthew Niedbala I live in Kansas. They can be used after a few years. At ten years they will be the diameter of a basketball to bigger. Just depends on the conditions they were grown in. It is about the fastest growing hardwood I know of. Grows about as fast as cottonwood.

Your chain is not sharp. That's horrible to hear but your ideas are amazing 🤝💪

Could you not split the logs out on site? Would be lighter!..

Hey thanks rob. They are great trees. Good for building with. Making bows. Great for smoking food and such as well.

Anthony Maurice I do. I have around 50-80 staves right now that have been drying around a year and a half now. Most are around 8-9 foot long. Planning on cutting another 50-100 this fall.
