50 years ago when I was attending Washington State University I used to love watching the Spring wheat harvest in the Palouse Country of Eastern Washington. It is full of big rolling hills of wheat. Watching the combines negotiating those hills was something to watch.

I watched the same thing on Badger Mountain in the foothills above Wenatchee. Koodos to Eastern Washington farmers.

You are one hard working lady, Grayce. I like how you don't really need anybody else to help you, or, probably get in your way. You are just content doing your own thing and getting it done yourself. You are a very impressive gal. So is that Case red or Massey Ferguson red nail polish?

Favorite crop? Sure wasn't oats - cuz then we had to bail the hay/straw later. That meant riding on the wagon behind the bailer and stacking bails. Only to unload them in the barn a little while later. Then finding a giant pine snake in one of the bails when you lifted it. DOn't miss it.

I don't enjoy running the combine. But I do always run the cart. my favorite crop is the corn. We have a 1700 bushel Elmer's cart. When we get into corn the combine operator keeps me rollin from the combined to the trucks. Corn is always hurry up get their hurry up and get back. As always thank you for sharing another great video with us

Haters got you fast forwarding through all the shifting, eh? Dunno if it helps but I've driven with and near a lot of sooper truckers and most that think they're good at "floating", ain't. Been driving since professionally trained (imagine!) 41 years ago and I double clutch when necessary. No shame. And you're actually doing it right, another rarity. Love that old R Model. Had a wild ride in one once when the throttle return broke. Took about a mile on level road to kill it with maxis pulled, standing on brake and hauling on the stop for all I was worth. Whew! Then I learned there are supposed to be TWO springs just in case. Keep on trucking!

Corn is satisfying, but I prefer beans because there's less bushels to handle. Question, when you stop on level ground with the truck, have you considered pulling just the brake for the truck and not the trailer? Little quicker not waiting for trailer air....
