Hi Elaine the rain chime is awesome. I'm glad that burying the container helped keep the moisture in the potatoes. Good harvest💪👌👍❤️🥔

😂 so just a small dill plant then Elaine. Try dried basil sprinkle in top of the salmon 😋😋 that’s how we do ours (poached). My spinach all bolted too so I’ll do more later. Small but tasty new taters 🥔, all experimenting is fun isn’t it. Potato reveals are always fun because you never know what you get. Happy harvesting Elaine and 🤭 other half, Ali 🌤️🇨🇦

Hi Ali. I'll try Basil next time I have salmon. Because the Dill was starting to flower, I pulled the plug. The house smells lovely as they're currently in the dehydrator (not all). There's too much. Yep, Richard and I will be enjoying some tatties tomorrow. Take care Ali. I've got your upload to watch 🌸🌸🌸🌱🥔🥔

Elaine, that rain chime is super cool, the fold up table and a mortar board is definitely the way forward for emptying potato tubes 🥔. Experimenting with different ways of growing is always fun to do, and now I know not to use wood chip, so thanks for that. Prize winning Pete. 🥇🥔😂👍

@Petetrenouth Hi Pete. I watched My Family Garden and he grows on chippings and is very successful with that. I'll have to have a rethink and try it again. The chimes make a different noise in the garden and if it chimes and its not raining....lol 😂

@@allotmentjoy I grew mine on a bed of horse manure about 6 inches deep, pushed the buckets in a bit, then put wood chip all around the bottom of the buckets, that worked well and kept the weeds down. The mix in the buckets however I felt was a bit too dense, so will be looking to lighten it up a bit for my Christmas potatoes that I will be planting next month. Thinking of adding so rough sand to the mix and see what happens, like you like to try different things.
