Try planting 2 or 3 seeds in the bottom 3" of soil and then 2 or 3 seeds at the mid level of the pot for a full soil harvest and if possible try to add a high phosphorus ammendment, i really like bone meal because its organic

Thanks for the tips! I am about to start my next rotation so I will give this a try and see how it goes.

you can grow potatoes in multiple layers. As you said in the video, potatoes grow above the seed potato. But they only produce potatoes in a10-15cm space above the seed. This means you can put another few seed potatoes 10-15cm above the first layer of seed potatoes. Depending on how tall the container is, you can get two to three layers in. you can fill the container up at once and not worry about multiple hilling procedures.

Nice one! I grow spuds in raised beds but I'm considering buckets. I'm in jo'burg and it's getting close to frost time so not likely to get much from the ground for a month or so.

The buckets are convenient, the potatoes we planted in this video have sprouted. We are going to see if putting the bucket under the frost cover will help them survive, the winter and it's frosty evenings.😀

Thank you so much, we still have one more bucket to harvest and I'm excited to see what treasures it holds.

try a wider bucket, potatoes grow up and prefer to grow wide, you best can re-use the soil for growing beans. ( or leeks ) 👍🤓

GOOD HARVEST. NO ONE MENTIONED, but your volume is too low.
