Thank you for mentioning the importance of thanking the plant for its teachings! A lot of people overlook the importance of thanking the land before we take from it.

This is beautiful, thankyou, my grandmother asked for this and red salvia, i think they used red salvia for medicine or to smoke, she was grieved from my grandfather's death, and tried to cut her little finger with a razor blade at her kitchen sink one day, she took the blade and went around and around her little finger and as it begin to bleed i ran to get my father (her son) she just stood at the water running over her hand and i felt her grief and sadness, she had the abolone shell and the sage, some fresh sage grew outside her house , what i also got from this was she was an elder and she thought her time to walk into the spirit world was coming near or it could have been her wish , and she rayed for strength, what happened later was pancreatic cancer , then my dad followed her the same way, i thonk they used the sage and other medicines for healing but when you are called back across the clear water of life you are in no more pain, they have been gone for years and I miss them but know they are all together in family, i too will be there on day, sorry this turned into a sad story but that is life in this world and we do not control it , as the Creator controls us in life and spirit.

Thank you, sweet blessing and much love from Western Australia. I have just brought 50 sacred white sage seeds, and have just planted them. I’d like for my 15 year old daughter and I to learn to grow, dry and bundle this sacred plant. We went into a “ Spiritual “ shop the other day, and the only place the shop owner could find sage bundles to buy was from was the states. I was amazed that there were no Australian growers who could supply sage bundles. So my brain got thinking that my daughter could make a bit of pocket money, while working with this beautiful plant. I have just sent her this video so she can learn just how scared this plant was to the Native Americans, and so she may open her heart to Mother Nature and all her “ Beings”. And my oldest daughter, her name is Ruby Sage. I think I am a old soul who has lived numerous life times on the plains of America, truly your culture calls to the very core of my being. I send you so much love and light… your Sister from across the waters 🍃💙🍃🙏🏼

I wish the speaker could have added this. Because sage is considered highly sacred and one of our many relations we don't sell for profit. It would be like me seeking my sister or mother. It nice your expanding your awareness for sacred teachings every tribe has their perspectives about this same goes for the many beautiful races all are considered my brothers and sisters. When creator first put people on this beautiful mother our tribes began forgetting our stories and teachings and started to fight for hunting grounds tribe fighting tribes. So creator sent a couple ancient teachers to set us straight we have had many since the beginning , the rainbow warriors were amongst the many ancient teachers. Any way each tribe was given. a task. That we were meant to keep and pass on our future generations will need these teachings in order to grow and live peacefully amongst brothers and sisters. The elements are not to taken for granted. If we cannot maintain that balance peacefully for example the wind spirit has the power to blow everything off the face of this earth. That's what we were told. You don't have to be native to have any kind of spiritual practice to to expand and grow ones soul. But it may be of great benefit for self if one was to rediscover what tasks creature assigned to your tribe. Australia such a beautiful country from what I can see and learn through my window (tv /YT) and brothers and sisters from that area have a strong spirit. I would be fascinated to learn the stories of the aboriginals from that area, I understand they have fully memories of everything, if curious enough seek out stories from an elder. But this one reason why I'm sketchy to release the stories I hold, others hold a completely different perspective and mindset and creates something out of balance. Which is why most of our ancient stories are only told orally. But we are losing our elders fast and the newer generations must seek them out ...

Great information, thank you! Is there a reason why you specifically offer tobacco to the sage instead of something else? I read an article that says a tribe would use black sage to make a sun tea, and you put the sun tea in a dish and soak your feet in it for 15 minutes for 7 days in a row. After each use, you put the tea back into a container and refrigerate. Over the course of those 7 days, it pulls all the pain from the body. I love sage. It's a great plant. Always ask permission before harvesting anything and ALWAYS put back more than what you took. Good luck!

I found that when I harvist, I do it mid summer, and by fall, the plants I cut grow more offshoot and bush out. I leave the fall plants for the seeds so they can also give to Mother Earth and the small birds and animals that come and eat from them.

Balsam Burch can be dried and graded down. Use morter and pedestal to refine into powder. Can be drunk in a tea to relieve gastrointestinal disorders, arthritis and heart issues. Hope this helps I learn this from Sioux Indian he also said to thank the tree for the medical care it provides us. You share us information. So I share to you that was passed to me.
