Harvesting Sea Salt

Does the seaweed help filter the water too? I worry about pollutants in the sea water, does it make a difference at all if you filter it or choose a beach that’s farther away from potential industrial spills? I live in LA 🏭

Generally, if the fish is safe to eat, the salt is safe to harvest.

This method is VERY greenhouse unfriendly. In Australia most salt flood is sea salt harvested from salt pans. Another way is shortcut the cooking step and gather brine from rock pools.
