Just a brilliant multi faceted musician with great intelligence, he looks relaxed and incontrol no matter the complexity of the music he's playing.

I grew up with Harvey on the Westside in Atlantic City his sister Debbie was my first girlfriend (he also had a younger brother named Marvin) after I moved away from AC and eventually attended Shaw University in North Carolina I remember seeing him playing drums in the Hampton University Marching Band during their Homecoming that was the last time I saw him until he evolved into the musician that he is today..Harvey if you’re reading this tell Debbie Bobby said “Hello “!

Fantastic interview. Hope Harvey Mason sets it all down in an autobiography filled with the details. He followed his destiny in search of a father's love and emerged as a fine human being and top-tier artist.

There was a time in the late 70s' - early 80's I guess when every single non-top 40 album or record had Harvey Mason on drums. Every single one. Same with Abe Laboriel on bass.
