Just found this. Really just need to note that it's a different tradition than DCI or traditional college bands. Definitely the cleanest I've seen in this style. Would be interesting to see God actually use it as a cadence.
@blkplaya989111 жыл бұрын
The opening cadence sounds like a remix to a very familiar cadence played by SCSU's BBI of which BBI played in early days of the RJ Sargeant era of the Marching 101.
@jasprologikhall277511 жыл бұрын
LOL. Too smooth. It look like about half the line was madd high though. Feelin' themselves a lil too much. That's how it's gotta be sometimes though. It's like that line from Half-Baked;"Have you ever performed in a band on weed?". This was awesome and full of subtle flare. They really draw you in. Feelin that ol'school step from the tenors as well. This was dope.

People keep saying how it's so smooth. I want to be in high school drumline next year, and I can't tell how it's so smooth. I just hear everyone playing literally altogether and no one messing up... Is it the dynamics or something? Visuals? Thanks in advance to anyone :)
@GodChosenOne2311 жыл бұрын
Its the execution and style. It takes patience and hard work to play "altogether " without messing up. You will understand when you start band

Just like Khalila Perry said. It's takes a lot of practice to be able to be as one like these guys. Once you get the opportunity to join. Take advantage of all the clinics and ensembles that are presented to your music program. Before you know it you'll be one of the best.

It's called a game face. Some call it a "mean mug." Whenever you're strapped up and playing it's time to throw down. All about business. After the cutoff and you put the drums and sticks down you can go back to smiling. :-)

Nice. I love it. Why can't drum line drummers play set? I never understood why the transition is so difficulty. Ya'll have the chops for it.
@talker198811 жыл бұрын
The only thing that I would like to say is about the quint section's sticking; I couldn't really tell if they were supposed to be jus hitting the drum with both sticks or were they supposed to be doing flams. This is on the transition of the second cadence that was played at the beginning. Make sure those are distinguishable if that is what's being played. That's coming from a drum-fanatic's point of view. Other than that, your Tunnel cadences are great! #realtalk
@gourgourgour10 жыл бұрын
As a drummer for almost years and having many friends in dci as well as being exposed to dci, this is not some crazy thing don't think I'm one of those assholes who ruin comment streams I'm just saying that this drumline is more of a crowd pleaser instead of a serious all out drumline most of their rhythm are all easy and simple but what i give them huge credit for is their ability to listen to each other though simple their drumbeats require them to be cohesive as a group and they really work out well and for the most part is was pretty damm clean

These are FIELD CADENCES so they are designed for the FOOTBALL CROWD. But please don't assume that this is ALL that we do. You don't get this CLEAN without being TECHNICAL too. So if called upon to do the TECHNICAL, we can do THAT as well and VERY WELL if I might add.

But at the end of the day, arent all drumlines crowd pleasers? Lol
