Hands down - best drum line I've heard/seen. I marched DCI. I marched at a major University. I taught for years. This drum-line gets the fact that it is a drum SECTION...... they set the bar. Equal in rudimentary skill to the best drum corps - but far superior musically. I've seen/heard drum-lines play the heck out of the rudiments - lightning fast with military precision - but they still fall short of this group. Dynamics. Soul. They not only feel the music - but each instrument group within the section. This video (and the "Entrance Tunnel" video, too) show they have swagger. Other line have cockiness. Florida State University's line comes to mind. Sit down Seminoles and watch / listen how to play musical rudiments. CS does all of the little precision things right, just like the corps-style drum lines. Stick heights on the snare / tenor players; mallet control of the tenors and bass drums is identical, even the choreographed movements. And if you've only marched with a chest harness on a snare - you have no idea how hard it is to keep the drums level and in-line with a thigh bracket. Just enough showmanship without being over-the-top silly like a lot of drum-lines (DOA, I'm lookin' at you).... because they don't need to. When the tenors and cymbals move - they move as one. I'd say they are the best-oiled machine out there - but they are better than all of those machine-like drum-lines. This is the best version of CS. They know they are bad - they know they play bad - and they dare you to say otherwise.

I have recently completed my graduate work as a mental health counselor and for the duration of my final years in undergraduate and through the completion of my M.S. I have been watching these men and women for motivation, entertainment and most importantly, inspiration. Their swag is unbelievable, their precision is awing and their originality is beyond parallel. Please keep up the great work. Let me know the ways of getting involved. This is a movement to get behind and contribute to. Great examples of mind, body and soul being aligned to produce pure magic.

Now I'm a Howard grad....but I have to admit that I LOVE simple duple eighth notes that the tenors are playing against the snares' compound duple roll. Simple against compound is one of my favorite things to put in cadence writing. Well done. *thumbs up*

Idk how old your daughter is but she can do it just tell her to keep working! I graduated high school three years ago, snare drummer and section leader my last two years. And as far as I know, only the second female section leader in the history of my award winning high school band. She can do it! 🙏🏽🙌🏽💯
