the medium santos is basically impossible to buy now. If it's easy to buy one at where you live. and you've been wanting the watch, just buy it. Because it will go scarce too, and 2022 govt induced inflation. You'd probably better off holding on a watch than cash anyway

Can't believe they're selling for over retail in the US, because in the UK they're easily attainable, you can even buy it through the website. And on the gray market they're selling for way under retail.

Better buy one now, it won't last. In Australia just about two months ago you could get a nice 20% off from a Cartier AD. Second hand dealers selling it for about 25-30% off RRP price. Now just two months later, there is 0 discount on Santos from any AD, and second hand price is increased to near RRP.

I never did buy it. It’s a classic iconic watch. Only con is it’s a scratch magnet. But that’s the one to get!

Prices for Cartier are stable in the UK - however I have had to wait 4 months for the extra Cartier Leather deployment strap for my Santos. An infuriating Brexit related import issue. (I collect it today.) The metal strap is a really good fit (for me) and the curved watch sits brilliantly on my slim wrist, and stays in place. I have the medium size two tone. The Gold bezel can be gently polished now and again with a jewellers cloth to keep any scratches in check.

No, that’s retail. I was passing on that they’re hard to find in ADs, and going above retail on the grey market. Beautiful watch!

I bought a large with the gray dial and ADLC black bezel at Cartier boutique at retail price over valentines weekend and it was in stock. I saw it a day earlier at another jewelry also at retail price . So in terms of availability, it was east to get and I did pay retail price although I did ask for a discount at both places they said no since they sell those a lot, that if it was the gold version or another Cartier , they could do some sort of discount . Who knows if true or not ….. salespeople

@@MountainStandardTime never mind, just found a new oem rubber strap with clasp almost $100 below retail from a dealer who’s customer wanted alligator instead! Extra clasp saves me the trouble of switching clasp on the strap that came with the white dial and prolongs the strap life👍

I have same wrist as you saddle and bought the large. I could have had medium but its pretty small and tiny on leather. Both a good choice though
