this is less about Cooper Rush and more about how Dallas gameplans differently when they have a backup QB in (which is how they should play when Dak is in instead of throwing the ball 500 times a game). The team overall is playing on all sides with added intensity and they need to keep this level of balance and efficiency when Dak returns. They heap too much pressure on Dak's throwing ability instead of allowing Zeke and Tony P to set the tone on the ground and catching short routes and let Dak stand back there and pick his spots.

Dak don't even have the ability to sling it the way Cooper Rush does anyway so idk what they're seeing. And don't be so quick to accuse the coaches, dak has a big hand in how the gameplay goes as well, not to mention his ability to change the play at the line, which if you pay attention, he changes the play 95% of the time. The fact is, dak just isn't what Jerry thought he was. His best season was his rookie season. He hasn't gotten better. Go watch the giants game again and pay close attention to Cooper's balls, he throws a beautiful ball. Dak needs to go. It's rush hour time.

Injury has nothing to do with his inaccuracy. I have been a Cowboy fan since Roger Staubach. Dak ALWAYS loses the big game. He is not worth the money they paid him. Cooper Rush is barely hitting 60 percent of his passes in his two wins. If Dak had Cooper's numbers and the Cowboys still won, people would be freaking out. But here's the thing that Cowboys haters do NOT want to talk about. If the Cowboys have found a way to win with a QB who is barely hitting 60 percent of his passing and has barely any mobility, how do you think the Cowboys will do when Dak DOES come back "healthy" and they use the same philosophy on offense for "Dak", but with more plays in there since Dak can hit 68 percent of his passes and can run?? Nah, I'm a Cowboys fan. But you have to use the eyeball test. Bengals got to the dance with no O-line. Eagles: Back up QB. Old man Brady, Matt Ryan. If was the coach, or the receivers, or the coordinator I would drop the conversation. But we got rid of Garrett and Lenahan, and brought in Coop, and Cobb and drafted Lamb and Gallup, and Zeke. At some point you have to realize we had Orlando Scandrick for years and the dude was trash. Dak is another guy in the long line dudes that have padded stats and almost no playoff wins.

She keeps on bringing up how Rush is playing well but not putting up great numbers and only has had 1 TD in each of his last 2 games. If she really had brains like you think she does she would look at the past and realize that when Dak had similar talent on offense he put up about the same stats as Rush is right now. She would also realize that last season Dak had his best season stat wise with a ton of talent on offense and the one game he missed Rush also put up very good numbers. She would then be able to see that Rush is actually having results very similar to Dak.

It's not that two wins makes you a starter. It's how he's playing. He's sitting behind the run game and making plays when needed. He's playing in the system, not making the system revolve around him. Dak requires the cowboys to change their gameplan around his skiillset while Rush is "just happy to be there". His contract doesn't require him to "earn his money" like Daks does. If Dak goes out and throws 115 yards 1 TD he would be cut from the team... Rush can do it with no fear of anything happening because he's a nobody.

When I say this I am not in no way saying that he is Troy Aikman but go back and look at the history of the Cowboys when we have won Super Bowls we have never won a Super Bowl with a quarterback that puts up huge numbers. These numbers by Dak Prescott look fancy and look good on paper but just not contribute in wins that matter. Personally as a Cowboys fan I don't care about the numbers I care about somebody that shows up when they're called upon to go make a play when we need them to and so far Rush has proven to step up in big situations regardless of his numbers. Is a lifelong Cowboys fan I had to go back and actually look at Troy Aikman's numbers and they blew my mind because they were nowhere near as good as I expected but he managed the game and stepped up in big moments.

Dak is being set up to fail. All of this nonsense about Cooper Rush is better than Prescott is foolish. If Cooper starts to lose then it's we want Dak back. I'm a Cowboys fan and some of this fanbase can be really annoying at times. Dak didn't have any reps in the preseason, that's the reason he looked bad week one and including the rest of the offense, and it's why he got hurt. You have to blame the front office not Dak. Cooper played in the preseason Dak didn't get any reps in the preseason. Get your facts straight people.

You will not find a single Cowboys fan who'll have Rush over Dak... But it's fun to watch. TBH those wins are more on Moore and MM and DQ than the plays of QB2 (albeit he is playong good enough so far to start un Washington or Chicago)

What's fortunate for Dak is that I think they found their game plan offensively speaking for this year and all Dak has to do is follow it and that's relying more on the run game. And if Dak buys in the run game more than his passing, I think this will help Dak more because in all honesty.. Dak right now hasn't shown he's an elite qb. So if everyone focuse more on Pollard and Zeke running, this should force eyes off of Dak or in other words pressure off of Dak allowing him to make more timely passes. Dak isn't elite right now but he's still a above average qb and in past has shown (yes, having an elite qb is nice to have) you don't always need a elite qb or offense because I think in football, defense is what truly win games.
