But let's be honest, most of us are into crypto for bigger returns. Bitcoin is safer, ofcourse, but if you put thousand dollars into bitcoin right now you will get at best a 2 x, and if that happens and bitcoin does go to 200 k, it will drag eth with it eventually, at least a little bit, and when it does alt give way more returns, ofcourse way more risk but we also have to be honest that at this point bitcoin won't give you the 3-5 x, maby if you hold it for another 5 years

I think that once the cycle resets the only coin one should be in is BTC but trouble is that if you enter later when BTC is already up there isn't much risk reward compared to alts. If altcoin season does not strike this cycle of course, it would mean that crypto is bitcoin and alts are to be permanently avoided except for trenchers treating them like gambling bets.

​@helloman5576 When you get the timing right and pick the right coins, you're absolutely right. Problem is that BTC has outperformed most of the alts this cycle. So not only has it been safer, it has actually yielded better returns than most alts. And for every coin that has outperformed BTC, I bet most people have 3-4 that just haven't. Not everyone, there are of course exceptions to the rule, some people are very good at timing alts, some are lucky. But Id suggest that people who bought BTC around 20k and held, who are 5x up now, are doing better on their total portfolio value than the majority of ppl buying alts, even if those ppl had 1 or 2 alts that have killed it

I actually don't see BTC pumping hard until April- June. It could, but I could easily see us ranging anywhere from 60k to 120k until then. I've always thought if Trump wanted to be really smart, he would wait until the bear market to start adding BTC to any US stock pile. I think both ETH and BTC will be in a US reserve before 2027. Now, they are buying as much as they can, because once the country goes in they won't have another chance to buy near the bottom. That's another reason I think they might do as much as possible to suppress the price before the country buys in. 🧐

I think ETH could sweep $1500. I have a larger buy around $1800. I do believe there's a good chance for at least $6+k this year. I see that as conservative, if BTC tops at $120- $140k, which I see as conservative. IMO $1800-2200 is a great place to be in ETH at. I think we'll see prices for ETH at $15k-$20k before 2030

Ben, I agree with you on the end of QT and lower rates being better for the Ethereum ecosystem. Usually when this happens DeFi yields pick up which attracts more activity to the chain, and therefore more transactions. But I'd like to offer a scenario where the ETH/BTC ratio can drop further. Keep an eye on the number validators and the amount of ETH staked. It looks like the amount of validators has peaked, and the early signs of a trend decrease are now visible. The longer it takes for rate cuts to come, the closer we move to validator capitulation. If there's enough validators ragequitting and moving their ETH to other assets, Ethereum could potentially be looking to go home from below the log trend line. Another thing to watch is the upcoming Solana ETF. The DEX volumes have been larger in that ecosystem and if the SOL ETF starts attracting flows from the Ethereum ETF, this could also affect ratios. Otherwise great analysis :)

I like the idea that the market is dictating what the FED will do, not the other way around. My only concern is that - although the crypto market is showing the weakness that could lead to QE or at least QT stopping - the correction in the stock markets is nowhere near enough yet imo. I hope it does soon because I feel if QT pauses soon, we've a decent chance at a right translated cycle like normal. If BTC keeps going up here into Feb/Mar and alts follow but dont outperform BTC, then I cant shake the feeling itll be an early top

Take a look at the inverse correlation between the DXY and risk assets. Typically when DXY pulls back 5% from a peak it tends to create a bottom in risk assets. There's notable pullbacks near the beginning of ETHUSD bull runs. May 2017, June 2020, November 2022. DXY put in a high around 110 in early January and today is at 107.5. If this continues through 105 we'll have a 5% pullback from peak. This could create an environment where risk assets including ETH and BTC make new highs despite QT. Then we still have QE on the table.

BTC & Chainlink are the only cryptos up in my portfolio. BTC average is around 63k. Alt bags are down heavily between 15%-60%. Does it make sense to use extra cash to average up on BTC in 90-94k range or to cut losses on some of the alts until QT ends. Or just wait. ETH bag is 17% down.. Literally bought it at the worst time before last weekend.

We reference the ETH lower logarithmic trend line a lot, but what is it? How is it derived and what does it assume. I find it difficult to reference ETH against an arbitrary indicator when the indicator isn’t being explained. Could someone explain/Ben can you make a video on it please. Rob

I think 2170 was the low . I remember buying more eth last cycle at 1890 and I thought I was late it still went to almost 5k after . 2100 was basically the same level . I’m thinkin 10-12k max for eth due to sol and sui taking major market share 😅

I love your TA and how you substantiate everything about your thesis. This really supports the bearish case where Bitcoin falls back to 80k while remaining in the bull market due to the weekly bearish divergence and the Moving Averages. That could lead ETH to "go home" and ETHBTC to crumble to lower supports where the Feds will initiate QE.
