Imagine if Vijayanta received the same upgrades as Olifant 2? Would be the weirdest tank to classify by generation. On one hand, yes, it's enlarged Centurion. On the other hand it'd better then some more modern tanks. And yes, Olifant 2 in many regards is new tank. But it was very inefficient with weight distribution.

no, the vijayanta is not a centurion. i know it looks incredibly similar, but it isn't one. it's a variant of the vickers mk.1 mbt.

@@h_adik6461 apparently we're not understanding each other. Vickers MBTs(in this case Mk1 and Mk3) were created because UK wasn't allowing export of Chieftain tank. But they were okay with exporting "Centurion based" design. So engineers basically took Centurion and modified it with Chieftain technology and components that were allowed to be used. Think of it like being T-62 to Centurion's T-44. Idk how to better express and explain what I mean ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

vijayanta gets alloy apds afaik with tons more angled pen and little shattering, at the cost of a considerable amount of flat pen. and like the upgraded vickers in the TT i think the vijayanta's apds will easily UFP t55am1s cause composite doesnt shatter alloy apds or smthn like that but the apds will then struggle with a maus.

Gaijin should definitely start adding an Indian Tech Tree ( Which honestly would be the amalgam of all the tech trees of Existing war thunder) that would make us ee some cool Euro-Russian Shit mixed together along with Arjuna MBT (Laser Guided Shells go boom ) and HAL MARUT (first asian supersonic fighter). Most probably add the MKI as well but then it would be overpowered.

P.s I hope they add India as a separate tech tree soon. We got some good vehicles. Specially the Mig21 bison and the su30mki. These are Russian made with French and Israeli avionics. In fact once developed they were so good Russia ended up making a bunch of their own. Su30 SM they are I believe
