Soviet Object 292 is the biggest cannon (152mm) MBT in War Thunder.
It was recently added as a reward from "Call of the Dragon" event.

Thanks for the laughs, I needed them today. The HE shells of the T-72 are also great. With the T-72 I am happy when I see the roof of an enemy behind cover. Played a few games with it, I'm a Germany main (insert overused joke that is unfortunately very true) and really don't play Russia much. That being said most games I got between 3-7 kills with the occasional 8-11 kill games ( I generally try to play support and watch for flanks )

The turret face of the 292 is *insne*. Frontally, the turret face is 540mm, and the extra plates on it are 70mm, but when angled add an extra 98mm of effective thickness to that 540mm. It's NUTS.

How come the HE is so good? Does the large amount of explosive give it more "real world" pen than the 80mm it says, and all the shrapnel is likely to find a couple weak spots? Don't have too much time into ground RB yet unfortunately

@@modestmouse6 The HE is an area effect weapon. The explosion is penetrating the top armor of the tank which is thin even when you hit the front of the turret. The larger the tnt equivalent, the bigger the effect. The same thing applies to shooting the tracks since the bottom armor is thin.
