I think he is not underrated at all because he won a lot of awards than any other artist out there. He is only 36 years old and already gained a lot prestigious awards like 6 time diamond single, multiple Grammy award winner, just in the year 2022 he and Anderson Paak won 4 Grammys. He also had multiple Grammy award nominations, and also had awards in American Music Awards. And outside of this, he won multiple awards in iHeartRadio so many times now, in Billboard awards etc. He is now a legend in his own right. And so many artist today look up to him. And I forgot he also won producer of the year, I am not sure but I've heard in some of his interview that he won producer of the year in Grammy. And even before he become a solo artist, he become a producer and songwriter first to other big time artist such as Justin Bieber, Adele, etc. I forgot the other artist. He already gained so much respect and recognition with some of the biggest name in the industry like Leonil Riche, Eminem, Elton John, Adele, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Smokey Robinson, Maroon 5, Janet Jackson etc. He is not underrated anymore. It's just the fact that he is only 36 years old now and they couldn't believe that he gained so many awards because of the talent he had. He is well known as a phenomenal writer as according to Ed Sheeran and Leonil Riche. And many other artist wanted his advice and recommendation if they write well such as the up and coming artist of today. So for me he is not underrated anymore. He will have a long career now and in the future than any other artist out there because he is a phenomenal writer with his band mates who are also a phenomenal writer.

So many things: 1. Bruno's dad Peter had an oldies band in Hawaii, so Bruno grew up respecting the music.He never left! The fact is, the entire family is musical 2. You can hear Marvin Gaye chord progressions in this song 3. He did a Lenny Williams oh oh oh 4. Have you ever seen his Prince Tribute? It is AWESOM! 5. Bruno was walking in the 'Hood and saw Mary and her daughter, he gave them tickets, so he knew she would be there, what a nice thing to do! 6. The Hooligans have been with him for years. They are loyal to him and he is loyal to them. 7. Bruno has performed this song all over the world, and he adapted it to his surroundings. In one, he sings the phone convo in Portuguese! ( it sounded like Spanish to me, but he said it was Portuguese... he may have been kidding, I dunno). Those concerts are on youtube. 8. Yes there have been a lot of influences, Barry Manilow plays Bach in some progressions in his songs... he said that all music is built upon what has already been written. That said: 9. It is Bruno's talent, that he can mesh all of that together, make it look so effortless, and still sound BRAND NEW and FRESH! MJ, yeah, Prince, yeah.. but BRUNO? The TALENT is UNDENIABLE! OH, one last thing 10. Bruno has been with the same woman for years. He wrote the song "Just the Way You Are" for his mother, when she was fretting about her looks ( my sweet sons say the same to me, we all fret as we age). This young man is a class act, the real deal... no strangeness or eccentricities about him. YOU Toney, seem to have the same quality about you, a respect for God and your dad. I like that. I don't subscribe much because I'm ancient ( my first car was a Tyrannosaurus- the Rex edition!), but I rang that bell! I would've said I rang YOUR bell, but back in my day that MEANT something! Bruno is so sweet, and so very talented person, and is a practical joker, but that man can sing, play several instruments! He is loved around the world! That smile he gets when he watches the Audience, plus he interacts with fans while on stage! I'm old enough to be his mom, but love him his music n Anderson Paak just steps it up a little more! Those 2 together is dangerous and make more hits songs!

I am amazed that you did not know about this. Priceless. Bruno and his band the fantastic Hooligans, you can tell the "family" is real. The band are show shoppers by themselves, add Bruno it's a real serious show. Mary got her hands full for sure. Fantastic, Awesome, epitome of a genius. This is music when music was music. To see a live version concert is pure Awesome.

Very interesting….. As I continue to follow Bruno Mars here, radio, etc.. I’ve come to truly realize he has some VERY BIG SHOES to fill. The irony is THEY ARE HIS 🤭🙋🏽‍♀️😳😂UNBELIEVABLE…….
