It's not Pep, it's the rafts of coaches who have mindlessly followed his methods instead of thinking originally. Football matches can be won in a variety of different ways.

Very true - seems like many have given up thinking differently and just follow mindlessly.

Exactly... this works for spanih teams bc the produce teams and teach players to play like that since birth... la maisa But Germany never played like that before their mostly high press smash the ball fast Then brazil use to be almost like flowing back n forth The original Brazilians use to dance like kaka Ronaldinho robinho rivaldo romario so well that players like juninho Michel Bastos and Fabian c I uld enhance their own game by contributing to the total of the team But watching Japan play they play interesting too right now and are highly overlooked But why tf am I watching a team in the second division try this 🤔

The more possession you have, the fewer opportunities you allow your opponent, and the more chances you create, the greater your chances of winning and the better football you are playing.

It is weird seeing league 2 teams trying to pass out from the back all of the time when their players jist arent up to it. Its like a football mind virus.

If someone doesn't like Guardiola for this reason then that person doesn't like football, they like tiktok edits of players.

That’s not true. Klopps tactics was one of the reasons I became i Liverpool fan and I love the beautiful game, even though I don’t think watching total football is as much fun to watch.

Good video. Fair analysis. I don't think you can really say that Pep has ruined football. The key feature that governs modern sport, not just football, and all of productivity is efficiency and analytics. The whole point of efficiency is to reduce variance and improve output. Pep has built on work done by Rinus Michels and Johan Cruyff which were naturally heading towards such an outcome. The key tactical change in football was actually not even due to Pep. Both Pep and Klopp took gegenpressing from Rangnick who took it from its pioneer who was Valeri Lobanovski who graduated as an engineer, so naturally his teams worked towards high efficiency. Even Klopp integrates efficiency principles, he just allowed his full backs and attackers to be more creative but if you look at his midfield it was more disciplined. Another coach will come along after Pep and we will ask whether they have ruined football.

Yea very true - he's just built on top of others - and he just happens to be extremely good at it which automatically gives you heat anyway.

Haha - it would be more interesting to see more teams take Pep on in different ways - being aggressive and physical in the same way that Stoke etc used to.

I don't think he has ruined football at all. He gets too much credit as a coach, when all he has done is copied the super talented #russellmartin at the mighty #saintsfc.

Most Guardiola-wannabe's and UEFA and FIFA themselves. Too many matches make it less exciting, also many clubs lost their identity.
@PixelFootballVids9 күн бұрын
Yea lots of club's seem to have lost their sense of identity - although sometimes it's hard to articulate what that identity is. For example, some Man Utd fans talk about traditionally playing with pacey wingers etc, but that's not how Amorim plays, so it'll be interesting to see how that unfolds.
