That can absolutely be the correct play as it allows you to give up a base that is being sieged while counter-attacking. Else losing the base can put you even or even behind when there is no need for that.

A good one against zerg is a sentry immortal timing push on 2 base with a warp prism. You proxy the robo and go sentry immortal. The reason for it is cutting the army up with sentries so they cant run or engage on you (whichever you prefer) and you reveal sentries early to force roaches then hit em with immortals on the back end. The minerals will mostly go towards your immortals and gas will go towards your sentries. You can constantly produce 1 or 2 robos with 3 gates on 2 base.

I think its a known build, you're supposed to hit with an immortal I think and pull off gas. The counter is if the zerg knows its coming they build spines. You then need to focus spines with immortal and maybe dodge spine shots with warp prism lift? Im not too sure.

Man... Trying to base race a Protoss seems difficult these days... You can warp in units inside his main, quickly generate sentries to block a ramp, and once his base is hollowed out you could even just recall to mop up his unreplenishable army.

29:07 Def when it comes to balance you don't say what the ppl think and its bc pro protoss players overestimate their ability, and fail to preform at the same time. Its ironic and moronic, quite like how marines and mines can shoot at sky units. So nerf that plz. And buff the skytoss/land death ball against zerg deathball somehow a cheaper comp is stronger in late game pvz makes abs no sense. Sc2 was most balanced in WOL. The extra cost of toss units was justified then and the game had less gimmicky units. And the proplayer results reflected that. Often when I hear you read patch notes any toss buff is followed by a nerf and i hear you say oh that's still playable not understanding that the objective is to balance to parity and not play from a disadvantage and try to makeup the diff. The last few patches have been incognito terran buffs, somehow the cyclone comes on top, and upgrades are cheaper. This is why proplayers shouldn't balance the game bc they're delusional about their own skillset and viewing the results objectively. Like instead of brain dead terrans building a raven with their bio armies the infestor gets nerfed??? Make it make sense. And the reason the game gets balanced this way is bc of hero syndrome most casuals relate to the human terran units and want to be the terran white knights that win against the other 'evil races and save the day,' thus winning the big tournies. So a T vs X is the most desirable outcome in attempts to grow the game.
