Last week my Employees learned about my hobby. An employee brought a cheap butterfly to work to show all the employees. I walked by, he thought he was in trouble. I told him about my collection and all the employees were like "WTF, you have a collection of $400 butterfly knives"? I asked to see the knife, and began flipping. I must say I felt like a complete badass, and my employees never knew those tricks could be possible on the knife.

As a beginner in flipping balisongs I had a shitty $20 balisong, I then bought one of these as my second knife - the difference is amazing. It is so much easier to flip and learn tricks on - I can do so much more with the Krake Raken than I could with my cheap knife, its so nicely designed in every aspect. As I learn new tricks (nothing advanced yet), I realize that the knife has been purposely designed to assist for those tricks. Small holes, grips and whatnot is perfect for them. If youre coming from something cheap and is looking to get something better, this will not let you down. It made everything so much easier for me!

I think a cheap knives 2.0 video would do pretty good, even if they decrease your lifespan by 10 years. Also trying to mod a cheap knife to something “usable” would be something that would help the community a tonne as most people buy cheap ones at first

Will, you should check out the trainers made by GLIDR. I picked up their "Original 2" recently and its a fantastic knife, the best trainer I own, in my opinion. The handles are on the square side, but it flips so good! Just a couple weeks ago, they released their Original 3 with rounded handles and gave it more texture. Missed the chance to grab one as it sold out in like a day, same with the Sahara model. It would make a good review video. GLIDR seems less known compared to others like HOM, BRS, Squid, etc.
