Nah puma had solid releases too in the evospeed 1.4 and the SL and SL-S. Also the Ultras 1.2 and 1.4

In Adidas terms the speedflow is top notch stuff, but I do agree on some Puma stuff being great too, I don't think the Ultras have come too close to a merc killer but some of those early Evospeeds are very underrated

Hii James, first comment and great review as always. Not sure if this is accurate but do you remember the UA Magentico pro boots with it's paper thin upper. It reminds me a lot of that but more structured. I agree with you on the mercs but I think there is potential for them to develop air zoom into more of a responsive element rather than a comfort element as it is now.

Yeah these aren't quite as mad as those Magnetico Pros and you're right some of that is definitely the structure these have. Not anything wrong with the Mercs. They just don't excite me anymore! Very solid boot. Will be interesting to see where they go with the air zoom unit for sure

got them in the solar energy colour way and i love it. felt really nice on the ball ever since the speed portals came out my speed flows needed a break but i just didn’t like the speed portal so i switched to predators until these came out and its really nice to play with

I returned my CrazyFast +, had trouble breaking them in. I got them true to size, might explain why they didn't work for me. The Mercurial is fantastic, can't wait for the 16

Yeah I don't really have a problem with the Merc, great boot, just not sure it's got that Mercurial speed boot DNA. Definitely a winner for most people though. True to size on the crazyfast+ I think would be a tough one to break in, just getting it to break to your foot shape in the toebox would be rough.

Thoughts on the ag stud pattern of the .1s? Would rather get the + but play mostly on AG and don’t really see the difference in the stud pattern

Haven't actually tried the AG. Although you're right they do look very similar, the AG looks to just have the holes in the studs and probably will be more durable. Can't confirm but the studs may also be shorter. On the whole looks a nice AG option.

Will you compare the Crazyfast.1 and the Vapor 15s? If so, what are your general thoughts on that comparison?

With the new versions of each boot not very far away it's likely I won't make it to review them both or be able to do a comparison. Overall my preference is probably the Mercurial although I prefer the soleplate on the crazyfast. Both good options though.

I say I prefer the crazyfast+ over the mercuials is that they do remind me of two of the final 3 f50 adizeros that came out in late 2012 and late 2013… it gives me that feeling and also having a traditional U-throat/floating tongue design is a welcome design given I prefer having that again nothing against one piece uppers. Not a boot i wear but a pair I always have it in my bag when I want to wear something very light

Another pair of Nemeziz? 😂 There's nothing really comparable around at the moment, you might have to select an element that he likes the most about the Nemeziz are trying and match that up. There's not really anything that's a whole package that would be similar.

Crazyfast+ and speedflow are very different boots and I would always pick the speedflow. In terms of against the Vapor, I feel like that's probably going to come down to personal preference.

42 is a Nike US 8.5 so you'll want either an Adidas 42 or a 42 2/3 if you want to go up half. Depends how you like your boots to fit

Kind of your choice. Advantage to the crazyfast+ Is that you will get it on a big discount. I think boot for boot the F50 might be better, but also more expensive because no sales.

@@BootWizard vapor edges I think mainly dug to the soleplate. Aggressiveness makes it feel more like a “speed boot”. Durability way better but X is comfier imo. Furon loses slightly to alpha due to all tech in alpha( carbon fiber forefoot, zero glide tech). Futons are like a baby vapor 11, but softer. Upper isn’t a responsive I feel

So, I've got many friends who have a wider foot who have worn the Merc and said that it fits them the best out of any recent Merc. I'm not randomly generalising I'm using the evidence in front of me, it's a wider last and multiple people with wide feet who I know and people who have spoken to me through the channel are happy with the shape. Also I have to generalise as you put it, because I have no way of specifically telling you as an individual that they're going to fit or not, this is a review for the general public, so I say generally, as in, for most people. You on the other hand are only using your experience which was negative to say that people with wide feet are unable to wear the vapor 15. Which one of us is really generalising? Maybe your specific foot shape doesn't suit the mercurial whereas all the signs are that for most people with a wider foot it could be a good option. You'll also notice that I said that it's the widest Mercurial I've come across recently and that people with wide feet are generally going to be able to wear it. I'm not saying it's super wide, it's not a 2E boot, I didn't say it's the best boot for wide feet on the market, i said it's going to work for most people with wide feet, you're clearly not most people. So I think that my assesment and presentation of that assesment is 100% fair.

@@Zaxstar007 I repeat my point. Multiple people with wider feet have informed me that they are happy with the shape. The data I have from those people along with my own observations of the width of the last means that me making the statement that the current Mercurial is generally going to work for most people is completely justified. It doesn't devalue or eradicate your own experience with the boot. They don't fit your foot shape, totally fine and I'm not saying you're wrong. But, your experience isn't everybody's experience, and, once again, based on the data I have from various sources as well as my own observations I am completely justified and in my opinion correct to make the claim that it will generally be okay for people with wider feet. This is a review for a large number of people, therefore I have to make an assessment on what will suit the most number of people based on the information I have and the observations I make. By all means, share your experiences here in the comments, but simply based on your experiences you cannot demand how I conduct a review or what information goes in it.

@@Zaxstar007 As I said, my comment in the video was not, that the vapor can be used for wide footed people, I did not say all wide footed people could use the vapor, I did not say it was the best boot for wide footed people. I said it's going to work for most people with a wider foot. If someone has a 2E foot, they know they're not most people with a wide foot. By your standards you're expecting me to provide a full breakdown of exactly the type of foot that the vapor is suitable for, which is simply impossible. There's a reason no reviewers do it, it's not because we are lazy or don't want to, it's because every single persons foot is different and the way that each foot fits in each specific boot is different, so the best that I, or anyone else can do, is to provide information based on a vast amount of previous knowledge and comparisons as well as talking to people who have also worn the boots. This led to my conclusion that the current Mercurial is going to work for most people with a wider foot. A statement I will continue to 100% stand by.
