Tbf it was an amazing play by accident. Ben killed what could have been considered an ally and a paramedic at random (he was right in the end but his lack of attention was why he won versus Ravs's lack of attention being why he lost) Not to diminish the play but it was a bad play that turned out lucky in the end. I give more props to Briony tbh nearly killing Ben while blind before he ran to heal.

​@@joshuad3507I don't think that was supposed to happen, in base TTT if a traitor's body gets ID'd and he gets resurrected their name shows red when you press tab. I guess with the hypnotist it considers it a normal traitor rez and puts the red marker on the name for some reason.

@@MikStarYo The problems with that, far as I see it, are that that basically incentivises people to stay near water *constantly* on water maps(what allows them to wander now is the idea that the arsonist wants to get as many people as possible before igniting, which isn't necessary if the arsonist can do one at a time or batches of people), and if the arsonist has no limit, then they'd be incentivised to just burn everyone right after dousing them. Some sort of middle could be struck, e.g. two or three uses, or you can only douse people you doused the first time, but that still encourages people to game the role.

@@jonathanpilcher337 the excuse is plain enough, what do you mean. you're told a paramedic wants to rez you (an innocent) and you know who killed you (the traitor) so when you do in fact get rezed you make the traitor known and go after them. sure it's a deception game but you can't think everything is a lie. it'd be smart to check sure but it's also not the craziest thing in the world that anyone mid-round wouldn't go "hmm am I a good guy or a bad guy, let me make sure". It's poor observation but it's not impossible.

I've been looking forward to the Arsonist's return - though I do think the Detective and traitors being able to buy fire extinguishers to be able to save anyone other than themselves could be cool (for maps that don't have water) Also, having the Informant role have increased spawn rate to be in with the Arsonist would be good as they both are roles that wanna be near people and could give the traitors a chance to find the Arsonist before they ignite

And yet funnily enough Zylus' high-tier play was great on purpose yet fumbled hard just by not paying off. I think this arsonist would work a bit better if it took a bit longer to dowse but could also dowse people after the initial setting people on fire. That would allow the arsonist to have a better shot at winning but also at being detected. But also balence that it in favor of everyone else a bit further being making you able to put out fire by beating people with a crowbar.

Another little tweak, rather than the ignite instantly lighting them, have a 5 second delay. But that the moment ignite is hit any who are doused but haven't yet been notified receive the notification. This would both help confuse by throwing off the timer, as well as limit the ignite as a reactionary move.

It has taken me until today to realize why Rythian and Ben don't work well together, it's because they're both effectively "support" or "tacticians". Ben will usually make a bold and obvious play to cut down some of the opposition and/or place guilt if he gets away with it allowing his team mates to clean up, and Rythian will try to set up advantagous endgames for him and his partner which very often leave them with few enemies overall. The issue, at least I believe, lies in the fact that ben and rythian both want a second traitor who can just drop a couple of essential kills and clean up, but neither of them are particularly suited to that task against opponents like ravs. Tldr: Rythian & Ben, if you want to win more often, designate one of the two of you to be the "Risk Taker" every time you're grouped, target Ravs/Tom/maybe Lewis early though not first, and make sure that the "Risk Taker" is the one throwing bombs, planting stickies, and generally doing anything but harpoons/c4/traitor traps. I think if you guys focused on those things we'd start hearing more complaints at the kirsty and/or duncan pairings

the arsonist should be able to shoot people after igniting, igniting should reveal who you are (and maybe halve your health or something to really incentivize the arsonist to wait as long as possible), you shouldn't be able to put out the fire by jumping in water, and it should only take maybe 20 seconds to tell you that you're doused to balance that out however the detective should be able to buy a fire extinguisher that can put themselves out and one other person as is it seems like the arsonist ignites, at best kills one or two people, then is basically just a dead role for the rest of the round, ideally what the role would do is make people question who it is until the big moment where you ignite and a ton of people die, but it's way too easy to put out the fire in maps with water, the fire extinguisher idea makes it not map dependant but makes it so there's still counterplay from the innocents (and if you mess up you don't get in this awkward limbo state where there's nothing you can really do but run around without any way to affect anything)

To be fair, if Ravs had realized he was hypnotized, immediately calling out his killer should have "confirmed" him and Zylus as good guys. So it was a good play theoretically, but in practice it didn't work out.

If he did realize he was hypnotized though he could have just accused Ben or Briony instead of his traitor friend, considering that Nilesy immediately believed Ravs when he said Rythian was bad, he would absolutely help with killing whoever Ravs said was evil and it'd end up as a 3v2.

I hope they house rule ban role calling. Its just not a very fun or fair way of checking others. It would be ok if they settled on roll packs they all are used to, but getting outed by the fact that only one base innocent exists because you didn't know the detailed settings is cheap. It also really corners glitches limiting their options. This pack in particular can't have more than one of any innocent role. So a traitor will just have to claim a taken roll instantly creating a 50/50.
