I mostly do strongman style training over crossfit, and these are absolutely my favorite shoes since the Nano 5/6. I dont love them for max deadlifts or squats, but they're absolutely amazing if im doing any sort of carry, pressing, power cleans, stone loading, sled pulling, etc. And they're not bad for deadlift rep work.

The real elephant in the room for many people is not the weight, but whether it is wide enough at all! I bought the Rad One and loved loved loved the way it balances stability and cushion. BUT, I can't wear it for more than 10 mins at a time as it would crush my little toe. I found out that I'm not the only one. So the question is, are these sufficiently wide that I can finally have one as a regular CF shoes?

Seems like a really solid shoe. I wonder if the "elite" version that has been spotted would be the more dynamic one for regular WODs. Not sure how they are gonna differentiate the two.

Goated review Joel! Thanks very much for the full intricate review. Can't wait for them to be available in Europe! Btw, are they any similar to the rf1 ? I loved the sk8 feel of them, and no other shoe even came close.

I am planing to buy a cxt-2 are they the same sizing as the metcon 9’s ?
@AMRAP6 күн бұрын
I would suggest likely the same size, maybe a half size up if you sized your metcon 9's from normal.

How do these compare to gorucks trainers? I’ve been using those over the last 5-6 months as my go to shoe… these have peaked my interest. But, I knew a lot of the issues people had with the 1s.
@AMRAP6 ай бұрын
@@kylegreenley8950 for me it’s no contest, cxt2 are better all around and moreso in lifting. I thought Gorucks were good general trainers but I don’t love the platform for oly because the midsole/insole combos is thick.

@@AMRAP Thanks, I've really enjoyed my gorucks and I've been doing oly in them after my surgery and have found them to be the best all around trainer for me and my foot. Thanks for the reply and the detail review.

How do these compare against adidas trainer 2 or adidas dropset trainer 3?

@@OliverTheIceDude I prefer them to both because of the more grounded feel...but either way you go they're all good. Dropsets are way wider so that might be a factor.

I hear your comments about running, I'm currently using the Metcon 8s, which are AWFUL for running. How would these compare to those?
@AMRAP6 ай бұрын
@@timcheek8707 they’re better than metcon 8 but not a world of difference. You’d notice more if you’re a heel striker but if you’re a forefoot striker it’s not a huge difference.
