Also with Hexa, the rigid edges were supposedly meant to let HellsHammer recover and quickly return towards the opponent every time it attacks, in an attempt to let it constantly smash attack its opponent, so conceptually I guess it works fine. I do wish that UX beys had blade gimmicks from the start though, I would've loved to see what the original three UX blade gimmicks would've been. Maybe CX will give us that. I think until CrimsonGaruda, arguably WhaleWave and BlackShell, UX beys had the more "advanced" feeling Bit gimmicks whereas BX bits were felt more basic and one note. Hexa has a very unique and more intricate tip shape (moreso than Quake IMO), Disc Ball has a large ring, Metal Needle has metal, Glide has POM, Free Ball has the free rotation, Level is much more intricate, and Bound Spike has the bouncy gimmick.

Yea UX has always had a bit more going on than BX, enough to make it stand out but not enough to make it feel quite as different as I would have expected. At least we're seeing gimmicks now but yea, really would have liked to see more done on some of those older UX blades.

@@chaomaster100 agreed. Apart from plastic tabs on the blade, UX should've also been about the gimmicks, or something to make it truly different. I'm wondering if GhostCircle has a gimmick since I'm not seeing one, maybe it's an upper force one though.
