@ the reason he wouldn’t do it is because he knows that there are already groups that work day and night to try and make things better in a way his time and energy wouldn’t allow. But you know what he does have? Resources and a desire for change. And those resources (money and an audience) come from his work as a streamer. I’m sorry that we live in such a screwed up world that even when someone does something good we immediately go “what’s the angle here?”. It’s good to think critically but there’s been zero evidence that Hasan has some kind of ulterior, selfish motive with what he does. I’m sorry you don’t see that.

He really has no idea what he's doing, he's never experienced homelessness, but his heart is in the right place. Like I'm not sure what I'm supposed to focus on, that is the issue not money. He's never had to use a tarp as a rain cover, or had to fix one, but he's focused on things he has been told are important. He is kinda walking like a boss, but he's doing it the right way. Asking questions, deferring to people that know more than him. If you want to help the homeless, food first, then clothes, then medicine (yea buy that guy a 2 dollar bottle,) then shelter like tarps, blankets, binding supplies like tape twine and rope, and ultimately vote for publicly built and maintained shelter like cheap apartments built by companies that have restrictions on rent cost. Also we'll need massive increases in drug addiction treatment and decriminalization, focusing on returning people to productive work, but with a fair wage. Not pennies on the dollar like we currently pay the disabled to save on social security like the workshops we have that pull workers from institutions And drug rehab facilities.maybe providing means to recover, and real opportunities might work? It did for me, until another incident destroyed my life again, but I'm not dead yet.
