@@TheMightyAgency that's the definition of anxiety. Being hyper self aware, jumbling up your lines, overthinking and hence pausing for too long. That compiled with a few cues like his occasional leg shaking, chin rubbing, neck tilting, almost aggressive nodding, etc. Hasan's confidence was just too intimidating for the poor fella

Just to clarify if Suraj does stumble up to this comment, we see you. You were anxious but you were much better than me and many others. I could see you were used to your stage fright and were using a few techniques and that's great. The main thing is it was all in good fun and you did NOT make a fool of yourself no matter what anyone says. Keep it up and stay strong 🥂

Hasan showed both of the moderators such respect in different ways. He was dialed in with the young woman. It was wonderful how he connected with her, learned her sibling’s name and then used it later in the interview. Hasan made it as much about her as it was about him. For the young man who was clearly nervous, Hasan treated him as a friend. Roasting him, yes, but that is what a friend would do. It is a joy to see such wonderful people skills.

as a person who can relate to the overly self-aware and anxiety that suraj is radiating through my screen, i gotta say its probably hard af to sit through a show where a famous comedian/your idol is sitting on stage and bagging on you. not only that, but its also posted online for everyone else to see and comment on!! so suraj, if you see this, just know you did great and i personally thought you were very endearing :) don't beat yourself up about it, and know that its not easy to interview someone off the cuff but you did the best you could

Dang, I loved the Suraj guy! Talk about holding your composure in front of a famous comedian. Suraj could have been anyone over there. Also as a comedian myself when he said to be a good comedian you have to be Fd up and his explanation is so true for us new comics. It's easier to talk about the WHY of us being fucked up is great. Because anyone can be a comedian, because we're all messed up, but to be so Fd up you say what you want to whomever is courage to get past it. Hasan is a comic not because he is funny, but because he is genuinely honest about himself and has the confidence that others around him will get it. He explained it perfectly.

I thought Suraj's questions were good and had the right amount of humor. Hasan was doing his comedic thing by comparing the two hosts and trying to take friendly jabs at Suraj. But I honestly thought he kind of overpowered Suraj a bit in the process. To me, Suraj wasn't the awkward one, but Hasan (if that makes sense). Like there is a happy medium where both people can enjoy the jokes without one person feeling embarrassed or getting talked over a lot. I think Hasan caught on part way through and dialed it down a little. But yeah, just my thoughts to people calling out his anxiety and stuff. Actually, he seemed very well prepared and was engaging and good at laughing off the roasts and transitioning to the next topic. Great job to both hosts!
