That's what all journalists do. Act empathetic and genuine to get the juicy stuff out of people, and then write the most toxic hit pieces afterwards. Not saying that his guy is necessarily like that, but 90% of journalists you really shouldn't trust.
@Sodium_Slug2 ай бұрын
I mean, that's how you interview generally, you don't argue with the interviewee. Maybe by the framing of the questions will tell you their intentions but that doesn't really happen much in interviews like this one. You can't really be sure about what the interviewer thinks until the piece cones out.

@@beanofdeanit’s not respected and it shouldn’t be, it’s used by its owners to smear anything and anyone they deem a threat to capital. The problem is rarely the journalists, although that can and does happen. It's usually the editorial process/editors in charge, who themselves can be journalists. Doesn't matter if a bunch of journalists understand that Palestine has been under 50+ years of occupation and have at least a nuanced opinion of the subject, the editorial process that goes from notes in a notebook to the pages of a newspaper, if not treated with the respect it deserves, it will murder that nuanced opinion. And this is treating them as liberals, because if you think "nuanced opinion" is a correct understanding of the material conditions of what has been happening in Palestine, then you are still far from actual reality.
