The reason I stopped following dr Mike is the fact that he partied during covid, exactly *because* he’s a doctor. I was an avid follower back then and he was extremely big on staying home and social distancing and for him to then go in the summer of 2020 (first year of a pandemic we didn’t even know much about) and completely ignore all his own advice and not even wear masks properly made me completely lose all trust and respect I had for his capability as a DOCTOR, not as a fellow human being. As a person and friend he seems nice, but that’s not what his channel is about. On top of all of this, when people rightfully called him out he made a small apology video on his second (way less known) channel and tried to bury it. THIS is why he was “canceled” or unfollowed by many, not because he has made more money since starting yt - that would be silly.

That whole thing gave me a huge ick. Plus his party was a bunch of his guy friends and some ig models they definitely were paying for. Just the thought process of “what would make this party better; hot girls from ig” is very women-are-objects coded. I’m sure he’s a super nice guy and a good friend but i just dislike that a lot. Also his house is ridiculously expensive and is another ick for me.

no hasan, alot of solid 500 Dollar office chairs are very well designed and destroy most other "high end" products. Thats why in that product group there are very seldon tests with random chairs. Most of them are rigged w/ like 4 competitors!

Overall Doktor Mike is like one of the least problematic creators and spreads a lot of good messages about health. Also, the reason Hasan got shit on for buying a house is people's lack of understanding what comunist means, which I totally get, but obviously a nice doctor coming from an immigrant family, that made it from communal housing is more charitable than a political commentator imigrant coming from alr affluent/with affluent ties family. I love both of their channels and internet presence and I don't percieve them based on that, but that's what an average person bases their judgment on probably.
