I got so lucky with studio magnus he was taken out box never transformed he was like new after shipping he was 82 dollars … I found cosmos in Walmart in a real ghetto neighborhood and it was only one and I wish I could get a cheap motor master btw I have two extra breakdowns for ten bucks over retail if anyone is looking

New Zealand straight up does not have Legacy United fullstop. Stores just keep restocking earlier stuff, mostly the Elita 1 wave and occasionally the Needlenose wave. To make matters worse shipping prices to NZ have skyrocketed. Luckily I've been able to get stuff I need from Amazon Australia, sometimes even with free shipping deals, but even they don't get everything in. In the old days I had 3 lists, Buy no matter the cost (scalpers excluded because they suck), Buy if I see it in a store and Pass. Nowadays I pretty much can't get anything from list 2, so there's a bunch of my money Hasbro simply isn't getting because of their horrendous lack of distribution to New Zealand.

I mean.... *looks at Masterpiece Megs with cartoon-accurate and toy-accurate versions* ...to be fair it does exist, it’s just not CHUG. Even as a child, I thought Gun Megatron was a little weird? I mean it is kinda cool, in a sense it makes him the first Targetmaster lol. And there was that one episode where Optimus used his gun mode. But when your alt mode has to rely on one of your allies to function? Seems a weird fit for Megs outside of giving him to Soundwave and maybe Shockwave. Plus what more is a tank than an armored giant mobile gun? Sounds like an upgrade imo.

Distribution has been an utter pain for me when trying to find/get Transformers figures. For example, I was only able to get 2 of the Stunticons: Dragstrip and Wildrider. I could never find Breakdown and Motormaster. I did find Dead End 2-3 weeks after he first came out and unfortunately at the time I couldn't get him, then a week or two later he sold out and never came back in stock. I'm now considering saving up to get the box-set of them from Hasbro Pulse as it's probably the cheapest way for me to get the full team, then it would be to get them separately on the secondary market. I also never saw Studio Series 86 Ultra Magnus in toy stores over here in Ireland at all. I know inflation has gone up over the last few years, but the prices nowadays are utterly ridiculous for what you're getting when compared with a couple of years ago. When they originally were first released, Commanders were €80 and Titans were roughly €100-€110, now they are €105-€110 and €260 respectively. I haven't picked up any Commanders and Titans due to the ridiculous price increases. Most of the figures that I've bought over the last few years, I've gotten either with discounts and/or because of the prices being dropped. I bought Legacy leaders Galvatron and Blitzwing for €35 and €28 respectively and I'm glad I did as neither of them are worth €65 in my opinion. If prices were cheaper I would be buying a load more figures then I am right now. I know I'm being unrealistic when I say this, but in my opinion Cores should be €8-€10 not €15, Deluxes should be €18 not €30, Voyagers should be €28 not €43, Leaders should be €35-€40 not €65, Commanders should be €65-€75 not €105-€110 and Titans should be €120 not €260.

It's dumb. It's not even like the figures were meant to be exclusive or masterpiece line level of special order, they're mainline releases. Nothing meant to be something high-end. The releases of the same mold over and over are an issue. Reissues are too scarce over the years. I'm actually happy with knock off companies taking the mold and selling it for cheaper (and even fixing small issues with that figure). That way I don't pay $180 for what was a $35 release.

I also only started back up since 2022, once I saw that the new figures had quite a few modernized G1 figures. My main point in Transformers collecting up to then was completing G1 - I already have all 1989 Micromaster patrols and most 1990 patrols, and will go to transports next, then Action Masters. Trying to complete them, and update the stickers via Toyhax, and I got all the combiners from eBay's "reissues" shall we say. But Earthrise finally gave me a modern Prime that was almost perfect (torso's too short, legs transform backwards, trailer's bare), and I've been toyhaxing and completing a collection of modernized G1. And yeah, Cosmos is frustratingly expensive, and he doesn't deserve it.

I listened to bunch of your content today at work. I wish I took notes so I could do bunch of comments. I listened to this one all the way and many others. I've been collecting for over 30 years. Up to 2020 you could find stuff at stores. Now . . . I just preorder. Safer due to not finding stuff in store 99% of the time. What are we still not finding stuff? Right now I can see Hasbro wanting to make money off us due to sticking Ravage and Rumble in with Soundwave. Or two more in with Perceptor. I got Rumble, Perceptor, Ravage and yes the Netflix Soundwave. Mine are still in great shape and Rumble and Perceptor came out within the past year. I don't want more dups. It sucks that we can't just get the tapes without having to buy the whole thing.

Ultra Magnus was on Amazon. He dropped to like $76 and then was never seen again. I missed out because I didn't have the money and thats tough shit. But don't bitch about reselling, It's all fair game... if there wasn't a demand I wouldn't be able to sell them🤷‍♂️ You must also not understand how fees tax and shipping works. We all need to complain about stuff even though we love Transformers. I have complained directly to Hasbro about the limit on their site. Why is that limit there? It should be 1 for week then open it up. Nothing is done to help the matter. I don't mind the exclusives but the distrubtion is horrible. Its why I have Pulse membership now and it has more than paid for itself in shipping due to all the stuff I've bought. And I refuse to pay scalper prices. I do not have Cosmos still but I am glad that he's being redone. I hate the multipack. I have Perceptor but not the two tapes. Or Soundwave but I have Ravage and Rumble but only thing in there is Buzzsaw. I don't need two Perceptors or Soundwaves or Blaster ( I like clear tape).

Yeah frustrating to collect things from retail and looking on the secondary market is just biting the bullet. My case is I found all the new core class figures at Walmart. Silly me for thinking that they will restock those figures. I went back, they were gone. Then Walmart took those class of figures off their plan-o-gram. And it looks like now, after Steeljaw, they will stop producing these in their own separate packaging.

What all of us fail to understand is that we have feed this wild beast (Hasbro) what it wanted instead of what we are willing to give. Look at overseas, Takara Tommy they know what their market is willing to accept in Quality and paint and price. All their figures compared to US releases are much better. Also #HasbroPulse in their sales ideas are for the Scalpers. More than 2 per customer, Tells a lot.

Cosmos is nuts, there are probably a dozen figures that deserve another preorder run, just to devalue the scalpers. Fatimus Prime is right Generations is made for older fans, only older fans would care about the deluxe insectticons or any of the older obscure deep cuts that Hasbro has pulled out thanks to easy repaint/retool. Younger kids may have parents just leave their kids with tablets or iPads, combined with inflation this makes toys look like an overpriced luxury.

They keep changing it. If you're seeing it say January '25, it has changed AGAIN from July '24. I've had it on pre-order since it was announced with an original scheduled release of late 23. I had the DNA Design upgrade kit before I got Wild Rider. All I want is the damn Breakdown for Menasor. If they can't get me that one figure, I'm done with mainline chug BS. I'm tired of seeing them release garbage & trying to gaslight us into thinking it's the BESTEST EVARR!!!

There's so much I want to say, and pretty much all of it I agree with haha. I will say, I try to be on top of it when it comes to releases of new figures and even some of the re-paints/re-retools because many, if you don't get em now, with how bad Hasbro is at releasing figures, there's a 75% chance you won't et em unless as you mentioned, go after market and pay a butt load, or wait for the rare chance at a re-release like with Grimlock, I'm 1,000,000% pulling the trigger on him when they put out Pre-Orders, need the OG to complete since I stupidly missed out the first go arounds. Have G2 and want the Comic one too, it's just such a solid figure, and huge as all the 86 Dinobots are! And luckily I was able to get Commander Ultra Magnus, he's so nice overall. Next is that Commander Prime, oh man this might be tough! I usually put a Pre-Order on Amazon but for some, I go Pulse or BBTS, We'll see about him.

I’ve noticed that in the past 10 years I’ve been seeing certain figures getting less distribution and certain waves getting less distribution. Almost every figure in that 5 pack that has Hound in it except for Jazz, I never once even saw them in stores. There’s figures from Combiner Wars, Kingdom, Legacy, and so on…… Whether it’s a Core Class, Deluxe Class, Voyager Class, Leader Class, Commander Class, or Titian Class there always seems to be some that are not getting much distribution especially Commander and Titian Class figures, then again I keep seeing Core, Deluxe, and Voyager Class figures and some of their waves just not getting to my area. Either a store gets one shipment and it never gets restocked or it never gets stocked in the first place. Like I said Poor Distribution and The Lack Of Supply of Figures.

I really like the Shattered GLass Figures, but they are always expensive and have always ended up on clearance...except for the only one I didn't Preorder that sold out and hasn't been restocked. That's Hasbro buying in a Nutshell I feel.

Stop rewarding Hasbro with your business. As a transformers collector, third party is so much better in pretty much every way. Better product, better value, easier to find, reissued more often, and actually made for adult collectors. If you're still a purist who only buys official, at this point, you're only hurting yourself.

You proved my point... They released a box set of Menasor but yet I've been waiting since the ORIGINAL ANNOUNCEMENT for Breakdown & Entertainment Earth release dates keep getting pushed back by several months at a time. HASBRO wants to talk about shrinking profits, but they're not even looking at or considering how THEY'RE the ones to blame. I don't buy a $40+ toy for my grandkids. I buy that for MY cabinets. I'm not buying MP scale for my kids, I'm buying that for ME. It's the adult collectors that are getting these expensive releases. We're the ones they're 💩ing on.
