If Hasbro were to announce they were going to stop making Legends at the end of '26, aside from the ones you mentioned, I'd want all comic versions of characters I don't have yet: 1. Mephisto; 2. The original Guardians of the Galaxy. We got Yondu, but the rest...maybe make a wave out of 'em with Charlie-27 as the BAF; 3. The U-Foes; 4. The remaining Reavers (Cole, Reese, Macon); 5. Volcana (we got Titania, so there's still hope!); 6. Vanguard & Crimson Dynamo ('80s or early '90s armor); 7. Devil-Slayer & Gargoyle (Isaac Christians) to finish out my Defenders team; 8. Magma (New Mutants); 9. Blastaar, Mole Man, and an updated Annihilus; 10. Warriors Three, Balder, and Sif; 11. Starfox; 12. Updated Constrictor and literally any other members of the Serpent Society they'd care to make. I also wouldn't be upset if we got Radioactive Man and Attuma. Whew! That's pretty much my entire wish list for Legends.

As an X-only guy, in addition to Rachel and Feral, a Giant Sized classic Banshee is an absolute MUST. Armored Psylocke would sort of round out the Outback team (although tbh Dazzler and Longshot are the only released members of the 8 of that team that I'm personally satisfied with.) It would be a shame to not finish the Gen X roster with Husk announced in the latest reveals. Still waiting on Raza and Hepizibah to finish the Starjammers. Many of the new X-Men wave reveals are really opening doors to rooms that are gonna be hard to fill. They're promising more Uncanny X-Force (mostly re-dos), and just getting started on X-Factor in their original looks and X-Treme X-Men, first time for each. If this is indeed the beginning of the end, we're gonna be left with a loooot of unfilled teams :[

Ngl I'm not totally sold on the theory, but I'd love to see Jazwares get the license. I picked up the Total Anime Anya Forger on clearance for her TV accessory and I was shocked to discover that she's one of the best 1:12 figures I've ever picked up. Her dress is made of this ultra pliable plastic and despite being a little smaller than something like the 3.75 Star Wars figures, she manages to be better articulated than TVC figures. They also have the Fortnite license and I'd love to get figures of some of the Marvel mashup skins like Peelverine and Ghost Ri-Durr since I'm a sucker for silly food toys and what's not to love about Banana Wolverine and Mayor McCheese Ghost Rider. As for the final Hasbro ML figures, I'd like to see them double down on characters only they can make such as the other Space Knights, the Dire Wraiths, and Death's Head in his Transformers green deco (at least I'm assuming that'd be off limits to any other company, ik ROM and Death's Head are a legal minefield).

I'm not particularly worried about the line's future since it's moved companies before and I'm sure that whoever gets the license next will sprinkle needed characters in among the inevitable first few years of major characters and probably Marvel Rivals figures since that's seemingly reignited interest in Marvel among Gen Z, so I don't think completing teams under Hasbro is as important as doing toys that no other toy company could do.

Has anyone ever actually paid retail for a $60+ Super7 figure? They all seem to go on clearance. They barely feel like they're worth the 25-35 at clearance.

Yes. I always pay retail unless I missed out and came back around later. Their figs are Four Horseman sculpts and they given me the screen accurate figures I want. Since Im not a child I dont care about their aging articulation. Theyre going to stand on a shelf collecting dust for the next few decades so movement means jack. Im not going to play with them like some manchild.

I buy the ones I want at full price. Some later go on sale and some don't, but I have no regrets supporting the small businesses I bought them from. Ones I am lukewarm on I'll get on sale and that's a nice bonus.

I also really like to collect using my own preset lists. I do this with GI Joe classified, Marvel, and DC multiverse. For DC multiverse, my list is pretty small since I already have most of what I want in my DC classics collection😉

Those are Albert, another version of wolverine for them to do, vermin, swarm, stegron. Only modern characters I would want is Honey Bagger/scout and Weapon H.

The entire thing would look to me as a businessman like a way to get me to subsidized Hasbro while running my company into the ground... Fact is since Covid it’s become more expensive to import from China. China has made factory operations more costly because of new measures in place since the outbreak. Here in Asia, factories are shifting away from China as well. Shipping has increased as well because the Ukraine war keeps fuel prices unstable. Landed cost of goods has gotten so much higher as it is. That’s before taxes nd tariffs. This plus Trump’s incoming tariffs on Chinese goods will make it even leas profitable for HASBRO and most toy makers. Unless they move factories to Vietnam, which is the country benefiting the most from China’s factory exodus but I doubt they’ll be able to do so anytime soon. That said, it’s not impossible. If overhead is kept lower. However, I think it’s really the license fees that need to be smarter. Cause Disney, Star Wars, Marvel and DC are too expensive as licenses. That’s why McFarlane needs to reuse a lot of parts, to reduce margins. Volume without margin management is NOT profitable. For every Marvel Legend toy, they need to pay overhead, plus capex, plus a licensing fee that has to satisfy stockholder targets of Disney AND Marvel. Marvel also probably has targets they need to hit for their own mother company, Disney so THEY jack up licensing fees too. I speculate that since Disney bought Marvel and Star Wars, the license fees has probably increased with more stakeholders and over time, that gets harder to manage. Unless they fix those, it will get harder for toy companies to make good business unless they shift to low quality, low production cost toys, which no one wants. Hasbro can make a profit with GI JOE and Transformers cause it’s their IP. Losses are more manageable and they can license THOSE out to make revenue too.

I agree Super 7 might be suited to do the license: good sculpting, very good piece count, and ok paint apps. Mcfarlane could do it. That’s not how it works. Whoever wins the bidding process is who gets to do it. Legends and Black Series are selling like crap because the movies and shows arent being watched. Deadpool 3 was an exception. Mcfarlane makes fantastic figures so they would be perfect for Legends. The 7” DC line has improved and there are many best ever made versions of dozens of characters. The sculpts are insane and articulation can do anything current Legends can do and it has no ugly weird thigh cut that makes no sense with reality. Its built into the hip. Theyve gotten away from the ankle and wrist balls and have sculpted joints that blend in with the leg and foot. They still do what Legends does and will go backwards with some figures but its less of an issue. They still have visible pins but I dont care about pins. There are multiple companies that would be well suited beyond that. Jazwares and Jakks would be good. Super7 could do alot with Reaction or Reaction+. Theyre not going to do an Ultimates line but their actual moneymaker and what they can crank out fast is Reaction. Theyre getting closer to 2,000 figures so that would be best for them. Mattel is vm more than capable. They made one of the best 6” scale DC lines ever with Four Horseman sculpts so Im not sure why you’d crap on them. They have proven they would handle it having already done it with DC and MOTU (and with multiple lines in various scales).

A lot of work And honestly, if McFarlane did get the Marvel license, he’ll be making nothing more than wolverine and Spider-Man figures and that’s still a problem that he has with his DC license. He does 1000 Batman action figures per month. The only Batman figure he hasn’t made yet is rainbow colored Batman and he should because that came out in the 60s. That guy has no rhyme or reason and how he puts out waves at all. He just throws it on the wall and see what sticks Then between gold label , his platinum and collectors edition. It’s kind of annoying. Plus if somebody wants a Deadpool figure he’ll give an excuse why he can’t I put guns in with the figures and then you’ll have to buy it at his store for three times the amount that you’ll be able to get at a regular store and you’ll have to pay a $20 shipping fee. Then between this target exclusive Walmart exclusive Best Buy exclusives again, no rhyme or reason on why he does that and that’s something that is not usually done with Marvel with maybe certain figures but I’ve never had a problem acquiring a figure from Hasbro Marvel, legends like I have had with Todd, McFarlane But no, we’ll be waiting 10 years to get a Phoenix or any female figures no thank you

Some people say McFarlane figures are excellent, and some people say Hasbro figures are awesome. I remember hearing some reviewers trashing McFarlane and praising some of their figures, getting in contradiction. They're not perfect, every line has their ups and downs. Me, for example, I really like the 80th anniversary Iron Man, I also do like some Superman and Batman from McFarlane, like Knightfall Batman, Hush Superman. So clearly, you can see positives in both lines. Anyway, action figures are luxury items, distractions, no need to hate on these items. The more stuff we don't like they release, the best for us, it's easier for us to not spend time and money with them.

They cut alot of time to production with 3d renders so they may only need to do 2026. Honestly I think we are ok. Mcfarlane is shelf warming and every company is going to clearance stores cuz toy companies put fans in that position with target pushing stuff to clearance asap. The only thing that does concern me is their ceo only cares about Magic and the amount of hasbro properties being outsourced to others. If it did get cancelled I would want Carrion, Maximum Carnage style Nightwatch, 90s Firestar, Bagley [Venon LP/ASM 375] style Venom as true to the art as can be, comic Aunt May, spidercide, Man Spider, battle ravaged Spidey. Im more worried about McFarlane Gold Label signature series statues. Target cancelled ALL signed Venom with no warning after 6 approved "back order" delays. Nobody got them. We can assume they lost the pallet somewhere in their facility. Mcfarlane won't comment though. Target just gives that it's out of stock. Awful way to treat small fans. Speaking of Awful the NECA Donnie lab situation is a customer service nightmare. Theyre also losing shelf space at target. Are they circling the drain? Hmmm

This is wild speculation by him. WILD speculation. In past years they have said similar things (working 2 years ahead) and we've continued to get Marvel Legends. Same with the Transformers crew. We've heard that from them. I don't think they want to be talking about working more than 2 years out. But that's my own speculation. This guy is leaping buildings to get to his conclusion.

Speculation at this point, but it's not the 1st I've heard of Hasbro getting out of the toy PRODUCTION business. Other channels have stated that the Marvel and Star Wars licenses will be up within the next few years. Hasbro's stock is down, they sold a big chunk of their entertainment division or perhaps all, and they have potential litigation from some of their stockholders for deception. It's probably more cost effective for Hasbro to license out their brands than to keep paying royalties to Disney for stock that sits all ollies.

Hmmm, is all this "teambuilding" from the 80s and 90s in the interst of the licensor? I think in terms of cross promotion Disney/Marvel would prefer it to get charakters from actual comics so these would be promoted through the toys, while the promotion by pure nostalgic toys promote nothing (apart from maybe a few omnibuses, which are more difficult to promote because of their higher price point), thus pushing the license costs for a potential renewal of the license for Hasbro up to compensate for the missing marketing effects. And maybe the brand management of the last years, which focused solely on the wishes of a few influencers and social media group members, resulted in that it is not worthwhile for Hasbro to continue the license (while on the other hand McFarlane's DC line reportedly had better sales despite the weaker brand and makes a better job promoting actual comics).

This is just my opinion. I'm a huge Marvel legends fan. But I only care about the animated. Shows The Incredible Hulk Spider-Man. The animated series Fantastic Four, the original 80 90s. Sorry, 90s version x men animated series Iron Man animated series. My point is, there's still a lot more characters that need to be done entrust and believe. It's a long list. You can't start this and then not finish it all the way. There's a lot of characters from Spider-Man to do. We need more civilians. There's characters from Iron Man that need to be done. We don't even have the Mandarin yet. In the animated series form we don't even have Modoc. We don't have world win blizzard hypnosia. There's so many characters that need to be done like. I said it's a huge list we need Wolverine. In his Logan street clothes, sevilion unit uniform and fuck. There's just so many figures that need to be done in Marvel. Legend form before they decide to call it quits and trust them believe animation fans want these. They want them bad real bad, but they're so focused on the comics and the movies thanks to the live action m. CU the animation world's it's taken a huge dive down. It's like nobody's carrying about it anymore. And sadly, that's a bad thing. You know, just because we're grown doesn't mean we don't want animation help. I still watch It to this day. And I would love all these figures. All these charact, first they're so many more. That need to be made so many. I'm just saying don't quit on us yet. We still have a lot more animation to get done. And can we please take it down on the stupid cell shading? That doesn't mean to happen, you wanna do animation. Yes, but you don't need to sell shade paint on figures. Yes, most people put them on shelves, but not everybody, not. Everybody puts their figures on a shelf display just saying thank you

I definitely think hascrap is going in the right direction doing more xmen and now rom. Like to see them do affordable Vulcan styled buck, but with the renew vows style of engineering. Then a 3-D man, potentially would like to see micronauts. More Original eternals and celestials.😂❤

The biggest licence out there is disney...marvel ...starwars.if hasbro was looking to not make $ it would be in there best interest to sell hasbro with the biggest licences...hasbro without them licences is not even worth half then. No company out there could compete with hasbro.pinless..photo copy .they would never drop licence they would just sell hasbro

Im a big time cherry picker, maybe 3 or 4 hasbro figures a year. But id be down for hasbro to lose the license, just so i can watch all these youtubers lose their minds. I can imagine it now, hasbro announce they are dropping disney product, and then we get an inevitable slew of videos from angry, crying, entitled, man baby content creators acting like the world has ended. Man it would be so hilarious. Plesse let it happen...
