This video is called "pissing into the wind." There is no way Hasbro is dropping half a mil on new titan class sized tooling until they absolutely have to. Hasbro is going to keep using those molds until they are completely worn out and unserviceable.

Yeah dude, you act like it's the norm for that. They've recolored a grand total of TWO titans before Trypticon. You're full of beans 😆 We basically have gotten a newly molded Titan EVERY year. Now it may be the *new* norm, but it's certainly not something that's regularly practiced at that size class.

Still shocked Takara didn't retool Trypticon into Beast Wars II Gigastorm (along with a repaint of the G2 Earthrise Megatron into BWII Megastorm). Maketoys Utopia was their Metroplex; they even had a Metrotitan repaint called Dystopia, along with Scorponok (Pandinus) & Black Zarak (Devil Stinger).

This is why upgrades do exist and always will. Until Hasbro is willing to nail it 100%, we'll have to wait for others to fix it up.

a few things I feel like are at play here. John Warden b4 he was fired said if Hasbro released Metroplex the figure would cost 250. If Tryticon is 200 and people buy it that opens the door for them to charge 250 for a new Titan at that size. I have said it for years now, Hasbro highs upcoming price hikes in plan site.

They act as if Hasbro is this trustworthy company and we old heads are delusional. But we just happen to know Hasbro and I think we are going to see a price hike that Hasbro will convince us is fair...but in reality it would be beneficial to them.

Yeah hasbro needs to fix the issues if they are going to reissue these figure. Like the ankles on fort max. They should swivel and have ankle rockers. They are charging today’s price. Then make the figures at least up to today’s standards. Good video Ed.

Since I’m a relatively new collector, I bought the Fort Max reissue becuz of FOMO and not wanting to pay scalper prices later. I did not know the articulation of these titans are terrible. Anyway, they will likely be display figures… But yeah, no tilt, no side swivel, no ankle rockers are so yesterday… 😓

What I see happening is a Haslab Metroplex. With better tooling, better engineering, more detail. Compatibility with the ramps etc from both TR and Siege/ER as well as tiers involving Scamper, Sixgun and Slammer. That way you get everything that should come with him. And obviously Sixgun should transform into his guns.

Well they are doing a new version of Trypticon with a different paint and no stickers but it's the same exact toy beyond that. So they aren't really doing anything at all.

They probably will do brand new Metroplex and Fort Max by 2030. Possibly both Haslabs. Trypticon repaint heavily hints at new Metro. And we need a Metro that is based on G1, not video game. Fort Max can follow at the same time we are seeing new Powermaster Optimus, Thunderwing, Nightbeat...

Dude, this is overstock that Hasbro was stuck with. Unless Hasbro sells out, there will be no "New" Molds. Hasbro needs to give proper titans of Dia Atlass, Sky Gary and etc. We need propper Voyager Class target masters.and power master Seekers.

I'm completely in agreement. Siege should be the cutoff point for any modern reissues or retools. Reissue Jetfire is a fantastic toy, and representation of the character, but even with Siege the plastic quality doesn't feel the greatest compared to modern Commanders or most mainline Transformers. A lot of these older Titans just need to be reengineered and molded from the ground up. Problem is Hasbro wants to release these characters now, and has too many modern Transformers in pipeline before getting around to releasing proper versions of any of the past Titans. I'm betting Hasbro has a good long roster of current characters at the AOTPs Commander price point they'll want to do before revisiting any of the past one. Worst rumor I've heard is a possible retool/release of the Titans return Overlord. That's just sad, and pathetic.

Fort Max NEEDS to be retooled top down, I'd get one but he has imo nonexistent proper ratchets and needed joints. I also need a proper Metroplex/Autobot City, I need a proper mold of him. I hope they fixed the Trypticon troubles because I'm going in for the reissue. I really want a Fort Max, I do. If one pops up cheap I might bite but my interest isn't there compared to things coming up. Newer titans are on the next level. They just make me pause opening my wallet to grab earlier releases. I just want to wait for that imaginary dream Metroplex we talk about that is around the corner every year.

Originally went Gen Plex over Maketoys Utopia (figuring bigger would be better), then spent almost as much money on upgrades in a failed attempt to get Plex to an acceptable standard. When I got Tryps, I decided I was fed up with Plex, and traded him in for Utopia (much better fit to Tryps IMHO). No regrets at all. Couldn’t bring myself to get Fort Max and go through the Plex mold drama again (FM also NEEDS upgrade kits to be half decent). Have already got Encore G1 Fort Max and don’t care much about posability (not that Gen Plex was great in that regard, with all his floppiness). So, pretty content with him as my FM stand-in. Got Titan Scorps and the DNA upgrade kits and he’s worth every penny!

Hasbro please dont waste money will retooling a figure's ankles when rereleasing a titan class figure it took 30 some years to get the Titans returns Metroplex and Fort Max we can wait another 30 years for a new one. Please spend that money on figures we do need.

I would too. in Japan they aren't too keen on large figures either. Look at what happened to Energon Megatron vs. Superlink Galvatron. Japan never got the Mega sized Energon Megatron - ever!

Well, if the Titans are over, I just want them to reissue Metroplex. I had him, I sold him when my father died, now I want him back & be done with it. I was hoping to get a totally new Fort Max with a proper G1 city mode & a totally new Metroplex. But now, if they made a new Fort Max & Metroplex they would probably be smaller than Tidal Wave. They just keep making everything smaller and smaller.

I'm glad I got the reissue of fort max. I love head masters. Buts it's just as you said. it feels different than Omega and up. I hope they do a new version of metroplex. He was the first.. but really outdated in terms of design esthetics and posability

Most of the time, it's just to preserve the name trademark if a new mould could not be produced within the legal time frame. Still, there are simpler or cheaper alternatives. I don't know that new 4ft metroplex is going to be 1800-2k dollars and it looks like a copy and paste version of generations metroplex hopefully make toys pulls no punches and give us great articulation and electronics either way I'm buying it just to have it in my collection sice i did sell off my metroplex thinking hasbro would give us a better official version but boy waa i wrong lol we got that crappy armada metroplex lol

Both Metroplex and Fort Max need to be completely redone from scratch as completely unique figures. Metro needs much better proportions and Max needs features and modes restored from the G1 toy.
