Why does it cost this much? Because it's two figures that are EACH as big as Deathsaurus or the Saber/Leo combination and each have just as many if not more moving parts, AND a deluxe on top. Let that sink in- Two Deathsaurus-par figures and a little extra. Easily the biggest Haslab Transformers project since Unicron. This set seems to be primarily for people like myself who've always appreciated the RiD designs but missed out on them in 2001 and never bought the Encore version off ebay because it's $500, along with people who had the original toys as kids but broke or lost them, and would like to relive that with quality of life improvements, extra articulation, etc. They might be able to sell that Prime at retail, but Ultra Magnus? It'd be dead in the water, people going "Why is it the weird one and not G1?" Plus it'd be two years straight of committing the entire commander class to RiD. What if the Prime sold bad and they still had Magnus in the pipeline? Damn right it's too niche to risk. So Haslab's the best way to make both happen for people who actually LIKE these designs and the combination. So uh.... hope that paints a picture.

You make it sound like they are both HUGE robots in one packaging - *you even said "think about it" like you cracked the code* LOL Also both Saber and Deathsaurus could have easily been a retail Commander Class - easily with how simplistic their engineering is. They just wanted to squeeze the fans even more. With extra accessories and a chair - they would make that 86 Magnus a Haslab for 250 if they could lmao

Haslab is offering figures with modern engineering, at a quality you can't get in modern retail toys, large enough for Magnus to carry Deluxe cars, Magnus's weapon is now a Deluxe Weaponizer, Matrix Blade and Global Space Bridge stands are stretch goals. There are many including myself who were not collecting at that time, so it is a great opportunity. Sure it may not be for you but as someone that grew up on beast wars and then into car robots in 2000 the little kid in me is loving this and how it looks, it's just the price that hurting me because I don't have 250 to drop in a month and roughly 2 weeks for reasons I don't really want to go into. the way i lolok at it, this is actually slightly less than rereleases of the original from over 20 years ago in japan, theyre highly accurate to the original, basically being them but improved in almost every way, all the way down to bringing back the vac metal. you get 2 commander class figures, which tend to go for about 80 - 90 dollars a piece, and also a deluxe sized weponizer, which would go for 25 or so. so assuming the high ends thats already $205 for retail level. that means theres about $45 dollars or so thats just from it being a haslab, but its not like it went nowhere, youve got vac metal, full engineering for the base prime, his whole supermode / trailer, and the entire ultra magnus (who is in no way comparable to siege magnus, not sure why you kept doing that), and his ability to combine with optimus for the full omega prime, not even to mention that if the stretch goals are met, youve got a massive 2 foot long sword and 2 individual, pretty well detailed stands for them, plus likely a 3rd hidden tier of even more stuff if the prior 2 haslabs are anything to go off of. and, as said, same price as what the originals go for on after market / rerelease. this is a great deal if you like this version of prime and magnus, no 2 ways about it. I cant believe youre hating on this thing for its price, but seemed fine with deathsauruses price for what he is.

I collect a very vey small amount of transformers, mainly beast, wars, and only certain ones at that but clearly this price gouging bullshit is becoming a huge problem That starting to affect ALL of us now. We need to stand up and say no and be very vocal about it

Yes sir, I saw that ugly Haslab ultra magnus and smh lol Now that I know the price hell naw, big middle finger to hasbro. I need it this video, keep posting brother. You are not alone, thank you for the video! BTW Ultra Magnus 86 is sick, and I finally got mine this month.

Not gonna lie but goddamn, judging by this rant and the comments that agreed with this? I'm starting to think that these Geewunners hating on the Haslab Omega Prime just because they hate everything that comes out after G1, they all kinda act more like SJW's with toxic 80's masculinity than those guys themselves XD lmao.

This isn’t a G1er issue. Hating Hasbro/haslab is a trend. Justincredible collects transformers But with this traffic, you can expect “toytubers” who don’t even collect transformers to make videos on this to get views from other Hasbro haters. its happened with Star Wars and legends. It’s pretty asinine, but KZbin is a hustle, so people post what they want to monetize their hobby. If people want real info, there’s plenty of good TF forums out there. The majority of TF collectors have no qualms with this haslab. Doesn’t mean they will all back it, they just don’t get emotionally triggered over Hasbro’s choices.

My brother we spoke earlier, but like I said the OGs go for more money, and the Omega Prime combination isn't sturdy. We see the prices been rising....what did we do? We all bought more toys. if you have commander Magnus and Armada Prime it's the same. Inflation is the fault of our government not making these corporations pay their fare share like they used to. Charts and graphs show how everything will keep rising until the world ends or someone gets a mass amount of people to stop being consumers. Our Only choice is to just stop buying toys but that really isn't a reality as someone gonna buy it...mainly me🤣!!! A lot of people have nostalgia for these two. So what choice do we have, buy the OGs and take a chance on used toys costing much as new versions of the toys, or just buy the Haslab offering and call it a day. Someone at Hasbro did their homework on the cost of the OG versions is all I can say.

😂😂😂. Very. Entertaining for sure. Exercising “don’t like it don’t buy it” works amazingly well. No need to be salty about bad releases, because a good release is always around the corner. Options! Where would your collection be without the hasbro neca Mattel? Vote with your wallet, don’t take business personal

Ngl, $250 is pretty steap… Like $200 is solid with inflation but 250 for that who package when a third party can do better justice nowadays is a tough argument. I see both sides but still Hasbro is charging more for no reason. I miss the days were a Deluxe was like 10 to 12 bucks…

I never got a chance to own this Optimus as a kid and wouldn't have minded copping this if it were retail but I can't afford $400 in canada money after taxes, shipping, fee's and conversion. Fuck this.

Before it was announced, I couldn't think of what TF I'd want as a Haslab, especially with a 40th coming up. I flirted with the idea of a devastator and have its internal packaging encasement be an astrotrain backend (thruster and door), or have them as panels that could be assembled in external astrotrain and/or internal astrotrain configurations, which could be a tier, or two. That way collectors could use as display for decepticons entering and/or standing inside the mass shifting astrotrain. Then I thought that SS86 has been killing it and how it might taint the waters if they put an improved devy behind this type of limited window. So, my preference is they complete SS86 with all characters from the movie, including improved constructicons/devastator. The other potential want I thought I'd be interested in as a haslab would be a battle damaged Unicron, with detachable leg and permanently broken eyes (so backers of original wouldn't be upset that they don't get have a distinct, if not better(?), version. Haslab is supposed to be for dream projects, and maybe this is a dream for the younger generation of collectors. They're entering ages where their disposable income is likely to increase over time so I see the logic in the direction. Not my cup of tea since I have no connection to it, but I don't feel the need to spit in others' cups that want it, especially since I don't think they're getting an offering at the expense of me getting what I'd want. _...it does remind me of a fire guts(?) set of parts someone was putting together for the OSKO of the hotspot (protectobots/defensor team leader) that was also done in red colors. Those parts to mixmatch and make customs was something I was interested in._

When I saw the post I was like... "Oh...this is about to be entertaining as hell!" and you did not disappoint! That Prime was never mine. I'm G1 ride or die. But I watched your vid again, but this time I played DMX's "Ya'll gone make me loose my mind, up in here, up in here!" in the background and let you just rip! this vid again" Man, I remember when Haslab meant something. It was an event. It wasn't am I gonna buy it? It was what do I have to sell to make sure I get it!" I look at my $635.00 shipped Unicron and think about what I had to sell and how much OT I had to do to get it and I NEVER regretted it. Haslab Unicron was a f'ing badge on honor. Not because it was expensive but because I saw the value in busting my ass to save to get it. To buy a Grown Ass big boy toy! Every Haslab should be at that standard. If it isn't, it's just an expense toy.

Justin, keep on using your platform to speak up and speak out for all us collectors who don't have a public voice to let companies know when they out of pocket. They really been pushing the boundaries but this last quarter, they done lost they minds with all these greedy companies milking the consumer.
