Great video as always Rudy. Even though the negativity is louder than ever, there is still the "silent majority" of people who appreciate you and what you do. To me the core of your channel has always been to gain knowledge about various things related to finance/life and your great personality and humor is what makes it so enjoyable. Doesn't matter what all the people who attack you say, you're making great content and you know it, we all know it. Keep doing it for as long as you can, the majority of us will continue to enjoy it!

WOW, just wow. This is probably the best white board you've done for cardboard. Thank you for taking the time to try and educate those who already know it all. Meanwhile those of us who know we don't know chit are sitting back and soaking it all in. So thank you again for caring enough to try and help those who're interested in helping themselves instead of waiting for a handout. Those who understand if it was easy everyone would be millionaires but that doesn't stop us from putting in the work it takes. If we fail at something we get back up, dust ourselves off and try again because if we know one thing it's that that is what it takes. No one in this life owes us a damned thing and if we want it we have to earn it...

I love your analysis and insight into realistic numbers behind the scenes. My only criticism is the main point is a little vague "Why does it matter what the print run are? What does the number of boxes printed mean for long term investing?" Please make more videos like this. This is the healthiest content for the MTG public. Bravo sir, bravo.
@chaferraro
@chaferraro Жыл бұрын
Supply and demand. The more you offer a product on a market the less it values. Specially in a collectibles market. Most of his public are investing on collectible products and/or buying products from him, if companies start printing to infinity then the cards will value less and in consequence the price of sealed products will tank. In the other hand if the print run is lower than demand, products will go up in price and you can make money out of it.
@Cardboard_Odysseys
@Cardboard_Odysseys Жыл бұрын
@@chaferraro I completely agree. My mistake for not being clearer. I understood the implications, I was merely offering a slight bit of constructive criticism that his main point was implied not explicit. This video is an excellent display of deductive reasoning based on scant information. More investors should attempt this level of mental effort into their investments.

This video is greatly appreciated. Public negativity is in an insane place right now, any business that wants to make money is terrible, everything has to compared and "tier-listed" and torn down, customers being treated better than ever and given more info than ever but STRAIGHT UP REJECTING information and facts and getting red in the face while making out-of-context, nonsense arguments instead, everyone needing to have some "hot-take" (especially ones that are just like "hey bro it's just a theory") that fucks with good information just for the sake of attention... I could go on. My realm is more video games than trading cards, and it's all the same over there. Game forums just want to discuss how evil companies are and conspiracy theories, any positive/production discussion is ignored. If you argue in favor of anything other than "people are victims, businesses are bad, but for some reason people shouldn't be criticized for being mindless consumers", you will be shredded by the self-righteous fury of pointless self-victimization and preference towards ignorance. You have to find the most niche, small corners of the internet to have decent discussions with people who genuinely want to share and be better and be harmonious. And even those places can be infected with negativity, easily. It's fucked up. The absolute best I can take from it all is that, it makes it very, very easy to know who might deserve your listening and respect. But it's brutal, having how small that number often is revealed to you. I've always liked the "Timmy" concept, perfect way to describe those who partake in this "wave of negativity and ignorance" or whatever you want to call it, not just for trading cards. Thanks for keeping it real. Timmies need to shut the fuck up. We're in the age of "most people need to shut the fuck up and listen to people who have real expertise and honesty," something that isn't even that hard to find, if you resist the urge to pay attention to obvious lies and bullshit on the internet.

Minor math error -- Amazon's Draft box share should be $2 mill, not $4 mill (100 * 20k is less than 120 * 25k, not more), but the point you made still stands. So your total listed should be $96 mill -- but we're grossly rounding, so this is as accurate as it needs to be. Great video -- thanks for doing this.
