Considering how similar Mega figures are to GI Joe figures, this was an absolutely genius collab. They probably even scale with the regular Transformer figures!

BTW duke's back pack isn't a parachute. it's a rucksack with blanket folded over the top and side and shovel on the middle. it's also new completely.

This set just hits in the nostalgia. I LOVED GI Joe when I was a kid. I never had these toys, but I sure wished I did. Now I hope I can pick one up soon. The backpack is not a parachute. It is a sleeping bag. if you look at the backpack it also has a shovel in there. As to the machine guns they would be kind of hidden within the jet.

19:00 Correct the second name on the cockpit is not Duke, and the name is accurate to the original toy from the 80’s that feature that name on the original Skystriker and has been present on all versions since. Lt. Wayne Ruthel’s character got cut from the toy line back in the 80’s and they never made a figure for him back in the day. Hasbro only recently made a figure for him for the first time with the Haslab Skystriker two years ago.

I had a worse QC issue with my ACE neither of his feet will work on studs. Thankfully he’ll be seated in the pilot seat. I already reached out to mega to see about getting the figure replaced.

Very curious to see if other properties get added too. I think Hasbro owns Power Rangers now instead of Bandai so maybe proper Mega Construx style rangers? I'd love Mega to do Marvel again but I know that's Disney not Hasbro, and Lego has a vice grip on Disney stuff.

Mega refuses to do the US flag right, I'm convinced. It's supposed to have the stars facing forward on the right arm. Whenever they do the stars forward, they have it on the left arm. It's not a big deal, but it's something that's always annoyed me a bit.

I think they could just copy some of the COD figures but with a different color scheme and add the Cobra logo/flag somewhere. Would be a way to get military sets and figs without it actually being in the Call of Duty line

Yo Demarc, you ever unboxed or purchased a mega masters of the universe set? ive never gotten one myself as i have absolutely no connection with that show, its literally something my dad grew up watching lol. But mega does insane molds and new pieces every single set, why can't they show that love for the other series like halo or fallout? 😪

I only got the SDCC MOTU set, which was pretty cool. Fallout DID get a ton of new molds, and Halo has recently too
