I totally agree, i really love aatrox lore and aesthetics, but i don't like at all how cluncky his kit feels and how insignificant is if u are fed. A fed riven can 1 v 9. A fed aatrox just can't, he gets kited by everything, it's so sad.

How many complained about Zoe when she was consistent because of her high W and passive damage. the randomness of sums is still a problem but it got better with gunblade ect being removed from minion drops. the hidden damage was a real problem she had a lichbane passive with which she just could ult forward and hit u constantly ( + mayby W too) ad there was no real counterplay except for the enemy being to stupid to do it or by nuking her (+ hoping she misses a point blank bubble while u go in...) ^^ thats the reason they nerfed it and buffed e after all

4 skills shots and a passive with 25cd....there is a game that i stomped a jax as aatrox.... late game he solo me just afk auto atacking because i can't hit any skill...aatrox ult should give AA range so you dont need E to hit first and second Q and the 3 you just dash in not a move speed ult that become harder to hit the first and second Q

I think thats more a problem of build... aatrox dosnt really have a good one for late while jax has a high cost but destroying one. Same with urgot as soon as they found out what build to use = he is now really strong :3. ( and y I know aatrox has some good items but they work either better on jax or he dosnt have as many good ones for him :/

I don't know how many fighting game players are in this comment section, but you know what aatrox feels like? He feels like a lame SF5 character. It's mostly based on prediction/commitment, his kit *seems* like he's really fun but in reality he's abilities are just compensation. You have a character with multiple issues, so this thing fixes this issue, and this other thing fixes this other issue, you know? And of course you have you steroids ulti/v-trigger which makes you super strong when you have it, pretty average when you don't. It's fabricated hype. It's fabricated gameplay. A character should be a medium in which you, as a player, can excel. A character should give you power. Aatrox, and every character in SF5 feels like you need to put the character together. It's like they're made backwards.

Fighting game comparison... good idea. First comparison that comes to mind, in terms of playstyle, is Blaz Blue's Hakumen. Hakumen is a heavy... high range, high damage - especially if he gets you good - medium mobility, very hard to kill and really slow attacks. The dodgeability of Hakumen's kit reminds me a ton of Aatrox's Q. Both have a feel and flow to them, but both rely heavily in predicting the enemy(Hakumen's big feature is an counter-button). And, as heavies, they feel really clunky.

Hakumen has small things that make it work like a good defense vs range poke and one of the fastest 5a/2a attacks in the game

True. But that also reminds me a bit of Aatrox. His dash is insanely good once you get used to it. Very quick start-up time and moves very fast. Most dashes in league have way more start-up time and, oftentimes, don't move your hitbox as smoothly.

Tenshi Kanashisa tbh they even look kinda similar, with the 2-handed sword and the mini-dash and what not. Maybe emulate hakumen on aatrox, give him a similar counter focused playstyle? we dont have a "counter" button on a champ, besides maybe fio and sivir.

As an Aatrox main i 100% agree when he said that you predict how the enemies react to your Q. Mobile champions such as Riven when they are good i predict that they might dash to me when i use my first Q. They end up dashing forward into my Q when i dash backward and then the riven gets full comboed.

His explanation was actually very correct. I recently started playing aatrox and what he said basically sums up my experience with the champ. He feels clunky as his movements are very static with is Q + E and how it locks you in place. In lane sometimes you get lucky and hit all your Crit Q's and you basically one shot the laner or you miss them all cutting your damage by half. His E is also kind of slow which makes it harder to use compared to riven's instant dash. In my opinion I feel like Riot should give some sort of movement for Aatrox's Q but maybe a slow. Just mainly to make his kit feel a lot smoother than how it is right now. Or maybe keep it how it is and instead when he ults he can move freely with Q's. Im not a pro so I cant really say much about balancing but from what Hashinshin said, it has become very obvious that the reworked aatrox had a good concept but they just executed the rework partially incorrect.

Jhin is amazingly consistent. He's not talking about win rates, or how well they do every game. He's talking about as a champion, can that champ acomplish the same goal and feel they are supposed to, successfully, in like 99% of games. Jhin does that each game. He can kite, execute, chase, and provide long range assistant. Even at 0-10 he can do these and not worry too much about fucking up his combo of killing.

Every time I see the new Aatrox failing at something, in my mind I'm thinking "if this was the old Aatrox he could get the job done". Same is with Swain, his new kit is so exhaustable, he's like the much weaker version of Vlad that nobody likes and plays. It's just sad, both of these champs used to be reliable picks for me when I get in a tough spot and I knew I can rely on them, but their new playstyle is just shitty, every time I remember they exist now I pray for a revert on their reworks.

You sound like someone who hasn't played old Swain, he was much better at surviving with his aoe slow and aoe snare, not to mention that Rylai was one of his essential items and it made it even better, he did really good sustained damage and was good at leading prolonged fights, not to mention his E dealt damage over time and increased your damage against them, he's really better than the new Swain at doing his job.

It's not just about how you play them, it's also about the luck of what champs you're gonna play against and how they'll counter the only thing you're good at. He's talking about "inconsistent" champs that have no solid ground and can be easily fucked over, they're unreliable so people don't prefer them, when people don't prefer them, you don't even need to worry about them being banned/ picked.

Thanks Hashinshin for your opinion! I really am surprise how people can so easily be confused about a champion's potential. I mean, when Riot announced they were going to rework Aatrox they told us he would become one of the "healthiest" (balanced) champion, as it goes from now Aatrox is surfing in the middle of good and bad depending of the opponent he is facing off. So yeah in some parts Aatrox may not be quite "consistent" as you say because you can easily miss a skillshot that would ruin your fight, but that's the logic of a "skillshot"! Think about it, Lee sin is one champion that I would refer as being "consistant" because late-game his only goal is to be the playmaker or shotcaller. "Q > Ward-W > Ult squish strong champion(adc or mid laner) > get buttfucked by the opponents > leave the rest to his team." This pattern man, I've seen it so many times, it's always the same thing, I'd say Aatrox has the same pattern too! Be the bait or get baited. His ultimate is the "ultimate" way to set up a teamfight, he can get through an entire team, he can get out of an entire teamfight alive, he has CC, lifesteal, his kit might feel weird for some people if we compare the old Aatrox and the new, but he is far from being inconsistant! Aatrox is a playmaker just like Lee Sin not a dps nuke like Jax or Irelia, he's just not like this.. But he was back then so that's why people got confused. Still love the rework and love how Aatrox used to be, hope someday Riot will bring a new champion that will somehow makes us feel like playing the old ascended Darkin!

If you can land your Qs in lane then sure hes strong.. but thats a big if. they are incredibly clunky, inconsistent and hard to hit. and in a 5v5 teamfight, you can forget about it. His W is trash. you can just walk away from it if you get hit. His E dashes are way too short, they are there purely to make your Q viable, so it is basically a non ability. His R is rubbish because you get nuked after reviving you get almost no health from the revive and people can just wait out your R blood well. and the movespeed stops once you enter combat, what the fucc??? absolutely disgusting rework, I was an aatrox main before so I am mad as fuck.

you can farm from long range with zed, you cant with yasuo, zed ult is point click, yasuo ult depends on knock ups or a skill shot, zed has scape both ulting or not, yasuo only escape depends on minions and the enemies dumbness, so on so son, use your head not you ass whole to think.
