This is very similar to one of my own AU's where Tanjiro's family (including Tanjiro) are like actual demons from hell and are on earth (with the permission of God) to deal with the "demons" (who are basically glorified vampires.) Like, Tanjuro (Tanjiro's dad) is Satan. And Kie is Lilith. The plot is basically the same except the Kamados aren't actually dead, they just decided it would be best to keep up appearances. The main motive for them is to "get rid of the fakes who claim to be us" because they are a little cuckoo.
