An idea for this au would be that Nezuko's soul was forced to go to hell because Sera was afraid of it, of the power it had after having died. Well, his cause of death was involved with heaven trying to have more souls than hell to guarantee power (or that at one point he was afraid of the dangerously increasing number of sinners, and to stop this a purge of good people was ordered to prevent them from in the future they will be corrupted by sin) and what better than the kamado family, a pure family. Also with this idea you can include genya for the future. even that tanjiro has become an exterminator in search of his sister

And I also have a thought what if they reacted to Akaza since he is uppermoon 3 and it shows his strength when he was a human and his past.. which when he died he was given a redemption or whatever to be with his wife and he lived in heaven.
