Mr.Lean, what you mean for over production. the production which is beyond the set target or your expectation? All the garments factory owners crushing us to produce more and more only. If there is over production, we feel happy only.If there are too many pieces in one workstation, It means that there is a problem with the next workstation not over production. In your video, the line is not a skilled one. Operators are not placed on skill level and in a balanced way, that is why more accumulation in few workstations and pieces (.ie) bundles not moved uniformly. Sure this line won’t achieve the target. Solution. 1. select and place the operators based on operations grade. 2. Select operators based on their efficiency to achieve the set target. 3. If the skill level and efficiency level not available revise the no. of workstation based on target during layout preparation. Before all of the above thing, - The operators consuming more time for setting and not much conscious about target. Need more training for setting method and importance of time and target.

Thank you for your wonderful comment. Overproduction happens in 2 areas. Producing more than External Customer's demand and also more than the Internal Customer's demand. WIP gets created when ppl produce more than the Internal Customer's demand.

$35 Bn garment exports from India in 2021 - seems to be a tall figure. Need to recheck the data. Garment exports in 2021 should be around $17 Bn.
