Great result for Hashtag! A few things to point out: Dan Adjei's goal has been credited to him by the league, so whether it should be an own goal or not, it is classified as his. Neil Richmond has scored 2 goals (vs Braintree Town and Coggeshall) and picked up 3 assists (vs Hackney Wick, Coggeshall and now Burnham Ramblers) in 6 games. If that isn't on form I don't know what is. Not to mention in his last 3 games he's scored 2 and assisted 2. Also he is far more experience in any level of non-league football than Dan Adjei. Adjei will get his time, but he needs far more experience to start a game. The experience will give Richmond a better head for knowing when to shoot and when to pass as well as giving us a leader up front, have faith in Richmond cause he will be class for Hashtag this year.

If adjei or dan brown was playing all those games, the stats would look so much btr lol. Richo is definitely decent at Football but his finishing is just... maybe a position switch away from striker is best for the team

@@alanlee8394 Any better stats than that and you're talking Fifa level stats which is kind of unrealistic. Sure it's not league but Richmond's stats are very good and you can't doubt that. Going on the basis that he was top goalscorer at a league a level above this last year, Richmond's finishing can't be that bad. Also based on what I've seen of Adjei in the first team, he isn't a proven goalscorer at this level, YET. I truly think he will be, and so does Devs by the 10-15 minute outings he's giving him, but he needs time. But until then Richmond 100% deserves the starting place, even Dan Brown hasn't proven himself at this level, albeit he's been injured for the past few games. In the end it comes down to experience. Neither Brown in the first team or Adjei in the reserve teams, has played much against non-league sides. Richmond has seasons of experience. The others will get their turn, I think we should trust in Devs and back the players who play rather than try and get them out just 7 games into the season

have u even watched the games bro? u cant deny that richmond has missed countless solid chances. For a striker, missing these chances should be a rarity but for him, its a rarity that he scores. He definitely looks good on the ball with decent touch, control passing etc but his finishing has just been appalling. Maybe he is still nervous or he is just in a bad phase right now but if he doesnt start to put these chances away, a position change away from striker might help him to gain his confidence back since the pressure wun be on him to score. To address your last point, this is football man. At least for me personally, im always more critical of the players of the team that I support and I have always been one to call a spade a spade. Richmond may well be a decent footballer but based on his recent games, his finishing is rly just not that of a striker

@@alanlee8394 Yes I have watched the games, and I am very aware of the chances he's missed. I am also aware that he is apparently in poor form yet has contributed to more goals than any other hashtag player this season (joint with Harry Honesty). 2 goals and 3 assists in 6 games is a very good return. Him scoring goals is hardly a rarity. I will happily criticise my own players if it's fair but he has without doubt been a factor in us winning the past 3 games. 2 goals and 2 assists. Okay, Adjei has scored 1 in far less playing time, but he hasn't done anything to set the world alight. If anything, despite the fact the goal was given as his, his goal, against a tired team that we were already 3-0 up to, was an own goal. As well as this, Dan Brown, who from Chapter 1 most would regard as better than Adjei, didn't score or assist any goals in the 3 games he has started. The key to a good striker is getting in the right positions, and even if Richmond is missing, occasionally, if not often, from those positions, it's better to have 20 chances and score 2 than have 5 chances and score none. I wouldn't be surprised if Richmond starts the next few games, and I wouldn't be surprised if he scores or assists a few more in that period, especially since the team as a whole is playing better and Devs has had a more regular starting XI. If Richmond doesn't I will happily admit that I was wrong. But thus far he has done nothing to suggest that he shouldn't be in the starting line up.
