A season like this was destined to happen and I’m genuinely happy that it took place now. Devs and the players handled it well despite the inconsistency and with the right additions I see us at minimum making the playoffs! CANT WAIT TO MEET THE LADS AT TST UP THE BLOODY TAGS

Tricky season, at times the tags looked brilliant, at times they looked like they don't belong. That's the nature of the game and of the promotions. But to finish comfortably mid table with absolutely no fear to get into relegation trouble, is a great sign for the club. My personal belief is that the Tags are 3-4 signings away from competing for top of the league. Also I noticed during the worst stretches of the season, that every time the team used 4-4-2 with another striker playing close to Luke May Parrot, things improved a lot. 4-2-3-1 is a system I have never been a fan of, because it's a structure that requires a huge level of physicality and cohesion as the team tends to "break" between the 2 CM and the line of 3, especially if you have full backs that tend to go high up the pitch regularly. My recommendation is to use a 4-4-2 or use 3 CB and play the 3-5-2 a la Conte, which makes the team be more protected at the back and on the days the football is not so good, you have better accumulation of legs in defense. Just a suggestion, even if you want to keep the 4-2-3-1, at least practice a bit one of the other 2 systems to have alternatives. UP THE TAGS

From a playing point of view, the players who haven’t been at a higher level in the team really need to give everything they have to get into National League South because the standard even at that level means playing in grounds where it might as well be EFL professional football. The standards of grounds and crowds are getting so good at even the level My point is that when you’re a kid, you dream of playing in front of decent crowds at proper league stadiums. And even with the standard of the National League now, there’s no real difference between that and EFL League 2 in terms of that experience. And with so many clubs either with ambitions of the EFL or former clubs in there now, even at NLS you’re pretty much getting the EFL experience that players really should remember to appreciate. Even at this level it is impressive some of the set ups and followings teams have. We really do have a special football pyramid where 6 steps are pretty much professional. And whether you play National League South or EFL League 1, getting an FA Cup draw away to Liverpool, Spurs, Man U, Man City, is the same feeling of getting that taste of playing at the top in a massive ground with massive crowds. Now more than ever there’s a bigger chance for young footballers to live that dream because even if you don’t ever get picked up by an EFL club as a teenager, you could still ply your trade playing in front of decent crowds and grounds in the non-league. Think social media has contributed a lot to that.

I think this season has definitely consolidated Hashtag as my "English Team", mainly because of the highlights you put out every week. It makes you far more accessible than clubs like Arsenal and Ipswich that the rest of my family supports who are stuck behind paywalls. Looking forward to next season.

A difficult promotion we had progressed very quickly and to finish where we did was very good. As a club we have grown immensely and the future is looking bright across the board from youth girls and boys to men’s and women’s first and reserves teams, an accessible team and walking football. Incredibly proud ❤

Deffo looked tired towards end of season. Overall though extremely proud of the boys. Been a tough few seasons and they should be proud of themselves. Could do with a few new signings come summer strenghten up some certain positions but apart from that just keep up the hard work lads. The ladies are smashing it too big up hashtag

I think it was a creditable first season at the level and one that Devs will learn a lot about the squad and where he needs to strengthen, I think there is a lot of positives and a few things to improve on. I think we with the right additions and a little but of better mentality the team can be there abouts nxt season for a playoff spot

For me, on a personal level, this season has been absolutely fantastic, because it's the first season where I've actually managed to attend not just one, but _several_ away games in person! My first ever Hashtag game was at Worthing during pre-season (in the pouring rain, and I was one of only about 5 Hashtag fans in attendance lol), followed by Bognor Regis, South Park in the cup, Whitehawk, Horsham, Hastings and finally Lewes. Fair to say, I've firmly got the itch now! I've met loads of awesome people over the course of the season and been warmly welcomed into the family by the Hashtag Ultras who are all a great bunch of people that I always look forward to seeing again. I've met Neil, and Stampy, met the players numerous times, I've met Spencer himself (on no less than 3 occasions, at Worthing, Whitehawk and Lewes), even met Devs and Mikey in the bar after the Lewes game! So yeah, on a personal level, I've loved this season! It's been a real journey (both literally and figuratively) and has only strengthened my love of the club. Although I'm a little bit gutted we ultimately missed out on the playoffs and winning a trophy in the cup, this has still been a really good season for us, especially for our first at this level! The good thing for me is, because we're still in this league, I get to do it all again next season! I can't wait! Oh, and I'm gonna keep my promise too. I'm definitely going to get to my first home game at some point next season! Up the Tags!

Having seen a lot of comments on many videos from people saying “we need this, we need that, this person has to go” etc etc, a bit of perspective is needed. Just because Hashtag have been successful with winning titles and promotions, it doesn’t mean it’s possible to do every season. The jumps in quality between leagues is massive, and the club is slowly approaching the level where some teams are full-time. The fact that Hashtag have finished mid-table in a league where a lot of ex-pros are playing, and managed to compete with professional teams says a lot about how far they’ve come. Next season, I’d say a top half finish should be the aim, with play-offs being a possibility.

As for the first season, this was not a bad season. Going forward though, a better defense structure & quality is needed. Maybe a more modern/faster CB, and a more reliable Goalkeeper.
@LewisTheGrim2 күн бұрын
With a stable and reliable goalkeeper, plus a better overall team ethic when it comes to defending, I believe the current squad is capable of the playoffs in this league. When you think about the challenge of stepping up to this level, 13th is a fantastic achievement given the team still needs to improve in the areas I mentioned. No need to make massive changes to succeed next season!

My realistic prediction at the start was for a mid table finish. We managed that fairly comfortably and I'm pretty happy with that. Can't quite shake the feeling that we missed out on a much better finish though. Hoping that it works in our favour, with players being hungry to do better next time, plus now they have the experience to be better prepared. As always, it'll depend on the ins and outs, but I don't doubt for a second that Devs will do what he needs to do to make us stronger. Up The Bloody Tags!!!!
