doesn't break new ground???? I can't even wrap my head around that. The title of the album should literally be, "breaking new ground". It's nothing but new ground being broken from start to finish. And as good as everything else of theirs is...If I had to pick one of their albums that I could keep and never listen to the others ever again - it would be this one for sure. Although that gets tricky. Their follow-up was another masterpiece, but so was the one after that, rinse/repeat. But it's Adrenaline that broke the new ground for all of those others.

@@nickbusch7860 this was nu metal Tool worship. They didn’t really find their own niche until after adrenaline. Deftones hate using nu metal term but hey that’s what they did with that album. Nu metal wasn’t groundbreaking at this point. It was the “hot” new post Seattle sound.

@@tinkywinky675 great story, man. I will tell you one I had with deftones: I went for a minor surgery in my back the day before a deftones concert in Santiago, Chile in 2018. Then I went with a patch in my back that day and the concert was vertiginous. The result: the cut recover badly and I have a nice scar. Last week I went for a similar minor surgery in my back and now I'm listening deftones in my house. Cheers.
