Why use the slab matrix if you don‘t have a slab? You‘ve used your surface planner for getting your beams ready and straight to glue them. Why not use the thickness planner to get them all to the same size? Seems easier for me...

Beautiful work, as always! Wish I had one of those... I have a 5 foot slab from a big oak we had to take down, and that setup would be perfect for getting it flat enough for the table I have in mind.

Moin. Ich mag solch rustikalen Möbel - Mein Eiche Wohnzimmertisch hat Baumkanten mit offenen Wurmlöchern - jedoch hätte ich die Balken vorher (unverbunden) vorgefräst um zu schauen wie sie blank Aussehen. So würde ich grob "unruhige" Stellen vermeiden. Die Kombination mit den Beinen ist gut!

Hi Hassan, that's an absolutely amazing tabletop. I think dust extraction is the hardest part when flattering big slabs. It makes a mess. How's the slab matrix handling this? It looks line there's some on board dust collection on the sled. Nice build man, cheers from Denmark

The finish is just a simple linseed oil+beeswax mix and I‘ve used black pigment paste…

it is great build but it is so heavy. I just do not see value or style in something so heavy. I can see all those beautiful board split into 2 and made into extending table or 2 tables with thinner middle and on the side added thickness to make it look monumental.
