Hasselblad 500CM camera walkthrough

The story behind the late C's having the interchangeable screens is that Hasselblad still had a number of 500C name plates and wanted to use those up first before switching over to the C/M ones. Don't know if that's true or an urban legend about them.

Yes, I’ve heard that story. I’m not sure I believe it …. would Hasselblad’s marketing team let that happen, just to save a few Krona?

I have 2 EL, 1EL/M and a couple of 500C bodies also 5 or 6 C and CF lenses that have been stored unused for maybe 25 years in cases. What precautions should I take if I want to see if they still work properly. Thank you for your time, I’m in the USA

Ask a good Hasselblad repairer to check them out. After 25 years servicing will be necessary.

Would you consider a video about the 70mm back for Hasselblad? And about loading un loading film into the back? Great channel, by the way

That’ll be a definite no, sorry! The Hasselblad 70mm back is a very, very niche product and probably only used by a handful of photographers worldwide (Hasselblad discontinued it decades ago because of a lack of demand). How/why are you using 70mm film? Your experience will be far greater than mine!

@@WorldwideCameraExchange I am considering shooting a short film made if still shots. I am using a Hasselblad 555 ELD. I need a back that wont run out just as I get into a rhythm. I guess I’ll use three 24 shot backs. You channel is awesome and informative

There’s no reason not to use a Hasselblad 70mm back. You can pick them up cheaply. You should get it serviced and also check the cassettes carefully for light tightness.
