Great to see a review video by someone who actually uses and knows the system. I got a lot out of that, little things like the power button thing. As a long time Hasselblad photographer, both film and digital, no camera company does colour better than Hasselblad. Great video!

I've watched a few videos coming out about this camera and so far you're the only one to point out the button differences and to directly compare the storage system on the older model. Thank you. I appreciate that you actually talk about the product thoroughly and have real long term experience and opinions versus just doing this because Hasselblad contacted you for a video.

Referring to your recently released rant: from all the 907X CFV100C reviews released, I enjoyed yours the most! You are actually showing the camera in action, have a lot of experience already with the system, the quality of your video production is inspiring and your content is honest. The others mostly do the typical KZbin video script and format (camera reviews for me all follow a similar pattern and story), whereas you have talked naturally and freely. Thanks for this welcome change!

Not yet @@SamMcGhee . I enjoy my Q3 and at the same time am looking for a second option with a longer lens. What is your experience with no images stabilisation, the 55/65 (or even the 90) and using it hand-held in everyday situations? The size and shooting experience of the 907x are very appealing to me, just the no-ibis in combination with the high resolution is a bit of a worry. And make me wonder if the X2D might be the way to go.

Thank You for clearly defining the difference between the 50C and 100C. The 907X is on my wish list for the New Year. I have the X1D II and was undecided about which way to go with the 907X. The used prices on the 50C are hanging tough and the delta in cost is manageable to my budget. I just love the Hasselblad Color Science. The output files are fantastic and may only need a tweak at worst. The new lenses are now just a step up from the original XCD series. Again, Thank You for your clear and concise review. 👍👍👍

It’s been annoying to say the least (I have the same 50th anniversary) the rest of the review was helpful, ordered it and can’t wait to receive the camera! Now tho after 7 years and 200,000 captures later I'm looking to upgrade to a new digital back. But for me to get into a new PhaseOne digital back will cost about 35k. This is why I'm looking into the Hasselblad system and it looks like it will fit onto my ALPA 12tc technical camera. Thanks Sam! Very good review. I’ve had my 907x 100c body sitting on my desk for 2 weeks cause there hasn’t been any lenses available 😢 finally I got a shipping notification tonight and I’m stoked. Glad to see all the upgrades in this new body. - have a question for you- how much of your shooting is handheld and how much is tripod with it? Seeing a lot of people complain about no ibis. I’ve been shooting on a digital M body for a bit and have never had ibis. Does this stop you from some shots? Appreciate your time

Best review on the new Blad I've seen. I just tipped a ton of cash into an Leica M11P and several lenses. Not gonna be happy till I have the 907 now. Been a while since I shot on a Hasselblad. I dumped my entire kit in favour of the Canon 1 DS back in 2001. Was a great decision at the time as I was in my main street studio and the switch to digital resulted in a huge increase in profit. Now, it's just for pleasure... and the Hasselblad looks like it will deliver big time!!!

The most important addition to this camera - I have the CFV50 - but not for long - is the addition of not just the 1tb of internal storage but new contacts between the frame and back that allow use of a strobe trigger (wouldn't want to put a strobe on it) - Hass listened and I heard their response!!! Right then Clifton Cameras lets talk about trade in's - and use a very sharp pencil!!!

Fantastic review, Sam. I owned the X1D II previously and now own the X2D, which I love! Between the massive, beautifully detailed files, IBIS, HNCS (love it more than I loved what I used to see in my Leicas) and, I believe, more robust weather resistance of the X2D, I don't see myself switching to the 907x, but I absolutely understand the appeal to you and others of that body style. If I had money to burn, though, I'd grab the 907x as a back-up to my X2D ;-)

great review, and the fact you where asked to beta test it. One point that would help us users is: the v-system film magazines have a darkslide, so why not put one on the CFV100C ?, so you don't risk scratching the sensor (when taking it off, esp. if switching between the 907x and a 500/200 series system body) which is one thing users do, as we have a film system and this digital, as to add the 50 or 100C back, you Must buy the 907x as a system; this darkslide is a nicety, but also another good idea, is if they used a USB-C port for the Tethering socket, so we CAN add it to modern computers, or at least include a firewire 800 to usb socket adaptor IN THE BOX.

One thing i read is they also made improvement to reduce the rolling shutter with eletronic shutter. Could you also talk about using the new lens on the old body ? I notice you mentioned the issues with the older model hassy. You shouldn’t have these issues with the buffering. I believe your problem is your Sony cards. I shoot with an x1d, I began shooting it with my sandisk extreme sd cards but wanted more storage and purchased these nice Sony cards made of metal. But I noticed right away they were slower and would buffer. Went back to the sandisk cards and no problem. If you are really interested in what model sd cards I was using I’ll let you know. Now I don’t shoot with it much as I have an x2d. Keep up the great work.
@SamMcGhee

I mean… the “issues” I would argue are just par for the course with Hassys and any larger format digital sensor right now. Nothing in this range is going to be as fast as the new Sony’s and Canons. But you sacrifice those details for better image and aesthetic experience in the end.

The older full size Hasselblad, Phase One, Mamiya, Leaf cameras have the "BIG MEDIUM FORMAT SENSORS" NOT these newer mirrorless cropped sensor medium format cameras that are much cheaper to buy. I am so disappointed by this 100c not correcting the 50c main flaws: - backscreen cannot be seen in normal sunny daylight - sensitive resolution loss on handheld V-System cameras when not using the mirror pre-release on tripod, an ibis correcting V system cameras mirror shake is really necessary. Rubber buttons fading was only an issue on the first moon edition, and first standard edition batches, the buttons were replaced by Hasselblad without charge by the sturdier.

The infuriating downside is the inexplicable absence of video recording capability! Why on earth would they strip such a basic function from a device meant to capture moments? It's utterly mind-boggling! And the reason? Apparently, it's because of all the incessant whining and nitpicking from KZbin critics. Instead of addressing the issue like rational adults, they've opted to eradicate the entire video function altogether. It's absurd! These self-proclaimed "experts" have thrown a tantrum over minor inconveniences, and now we're all paying the price for their immature behavior. It's a disgrace!
